Why don't you make one with a balloon and paper mache like they used to on Blue Peter? I'm on my 2nd one now. The best thing is they're free!

thanks but my dad gets them dirt cheap for his garden centre (just got to go and pick it up sometime) and i am less likely to smash that open that a paper mache balloon

What excitement - found out by chance that my OH has been putting any £2 he has into my moneybox (bought by him for my birthday for saving £2 coins). I couldn't resist counting up and it £48. :D

:( Feeling bad, This morning after promising the children they could have school dinners I realised I had let hubby raid my purse already & I didn't have enough in it. £4 gone from my stash.
But on the other hand :D At least I didnt have to break a promise to my children. I'd rather raid my £2 savings than break a promise. Next time I'll just have to make sure I check my purse before promising them that they can have school dinners ;)
    Off to update my signature.

  • Hello,

I got 9 in the past 3 days! Okay, I bought 6 from my friend's float from a craft fair we were doing together but also got another 3! Up to £60 now - this is great! Was considering dipping into it to buy a new passport (which I don't need as am not going anywhere), but can't bear to smash the terramundi and this feel good feeling having savings has given me!

    Thanks GreenFingers!

  • £12 now! After a bit of a gap of hving nothing I got 2 in quick succession...
Its funny how £2 coins now don't seem like "real" money to be spent, more like saving tokens... lol
Returning MoneySaver, now furiously saving for a house deposit...
