I got another SIX this weekend – one from flatmate swapping yet another "horrible £2 coin" for two £1 coins, one from WHSmith and then I found another four that I'd put aside at home ages ago for some reason or other!!! Yay! :D

    Grand Total: £24

  • My son gave me one from his change at the swimming pool on Sunday and my £9 change from shopping at Lidl contained 4 £2 coins!!

    So up to £60!

I have just got another one! Funny thing was the person in front of me in the queue actually asked for £2 coins in his change (he got about 8), then the assistant joked to me about it being an odd request and I said "well, ummm, actually...."

I have also just spotted a £2 coin in my colleague's lunch money pot, will bring 2 £1 coins in tomorrow.
    Saving for an early retirement!

I'm almost up to £50 now. Not sure yet on what I'll eventually spend it on.

I want to go to New York again.....so if I keep it up I could go in a couple of years time.

And believe me I'll upset the Thomas Cook staff by paying in all £2 coins ;)
