Recieved confirmation from Northampton court today that "judgement was entered against the defendant on 22nd July 2009", now need to decide how long to give them to pay, before I request the next stage when the baliffs go in.

Did you go to court.?

Did you win, what evidence did you show.?

Did not go to court, B&Q did not file an admission or defence to my claim within the 14 days allowed by the court so I went to the next stage online and applied for request for judgement, as i said in my post, judgement was entered against the defendant on 22nd july. ( not sure if not filing a defence or admission was an oversight by B&Q or deliberate)??

Accidental. They will prob pay up or else look stupid asking for it to be cancelled and then settling.

I thought they had 28 days to file a defense, not 14?

They have 14 days to file an "acknowledgement of service" this increases the 14 days to 28 days, as they did not respond within 14 days you can ask for judgement immediately.

OK, well im at the point of sending the letter off,

Ah, mine has been acknowledged but no defense filed yet.
