    HE double bottles @ £1.45

    HTH:D

Ooh now thats interesting! I'm assuming these are the old bottles with the new bottle strapped to them? If so I wasn't expecting these to be reduced. Will be great if these all get reduced soon. Not bought a bottle of HE in 2 days now and beginning to get the DT's :D:D

we went to Oxford Street, and when we walked in, we were given a voucher for £5 off when you spend £25, to be used at: Sedley Place (Oxford Street), Bluewater, Victoria Centre Nottingham, Westfield Centre Derby, The Fort Birmingham, and Dudley Street Wolverhampton.

And regarding the S & G, once you've found an SA who will do this, keep the receipt so that if you want to do it again, you can produce the receipt and show that it has been accepted, and how it was done. The £2 comes up as Brand Coupon.

well done Sandrascarlett:T it sounds like you had another fab day in true MSE style. I love reading about your adventures. You are a credit to this thread:A BTW, If I'd known they were giving out vouchers in Oxford street I would've given Kilburn a miss today (rubbish store) and gone there instead:rolleyes:

I think I might be brave and try a £2 S&G voucher tomorrow. I'd love to try the hand cream peeps are raving about:D
  • Just copy and paste this bit, you can get 3 down one side of a sheet of paper, and then 3 down the other! HTH

Oh yes, someone asked (Piccasso?) about returned items being put on a gift card. Sweetie, you just have to be firm. You say you will obviously be buying Boots stuff cos that's all you can buy with it, but you haven't sufficient time today to look round, so could they just put the amount on a gift card please.

This use to be the case but now Boots do not refund onto gift cards without a receipt.
I understand where you're coming from they can't spend it anywhere else but Boots, but this has been the policy for a while since i worked there and i would hate for customers to think they had this right.
The manager would have to authorise it.

Also if the person doesn't have time maybe they should return the item when they have more time?

    hth

Hi, I was only giving an example of what I would say if challenged - but in actual fact it's the SAs who've said to me "I can't give you any money without a receipt, I'll put it on a gift card". And I can't recall anyone ever having to ask a Manager.

Perhaps I look such a state, with my hat pulled down over my eyes to cover my 60s eyebrows, and my wide shoes, shaped like frying pans, to accommodate my bunions, and my pantently obvious Primark bag, that they just feel sorry for me!

If anyone gets terribly bored reading my posts, please skip it now, cos it'll probably be as long as War & Peace!!!

You're joking! I always go & make a coffee, then get comfy & settle down to enjoy the best part of the evening....reading your posts.
    I think you're really a famous writer in disguise..Mauve Bunchee i think she's called;)

Oooo, you've got a good memory! That's what I called myself when I did one of my poems! So kind of OP to start up a Poetry thread, but I won't be contributing. I shall save my efforts just for Grabbit readers!

I thought I'd share my plans with you all, to sort of formalise it.
I worked on a fundraising evening last year for a family who lost their toddler daughter to meningitis. They've asked me back this year and I thought I could contribute to their fundraising by putting a huge Bootser basket together for their raffle.
So, if anyone has bright ideas or suggestions in general, please do let me know.
I did gift baskets with values around £50 for friends for Xmas but I'm hoping to really blast this and make it well worth winning.
It's being held on Halloween, so plenty of time but I want to maximise the potential by starting early.
Any ideas, please do let me know :)
I'm starting with S&G tomorrow hopefully.

Obsessing about remortgaging and interest rates all day, every day:)

OFF TOPIC: Searched high and low for a snowsuit/all in one for my almost 1 year old nephew. Can't locate a single one. Been to Boots, Sainsbury's, Patch something or the other, Mothercare, Adams is now shut. Where else is there I can get one? HELP! My nephew is 1 next month and I want to get him a really nice one. Ta muchly.

Mimi - Don't know if this falls into the category of "really nice" but I love Disney & its a colour that a boy could wear. At £10, its a real bargain & it goes up to 18mnths, too!

Or these brand new ones, with tags still on, from M&S & Mothercare on FleaBAY!

Next do nice unisex ones, but the biggest size is 9-12 months,so if he's nearly a year, they might be too small already, depending on his size.
