I thought I'd share my plans with you all, to sort of formalise it.
I worked on a fundraising evening last year for a family who lost their toddler daughter to meningitis. They've asked me back this year and I thought I could contribute to their fundraising by putting a huge Bootser basket together for their raffle.
So, if anyone has bright ideas or suggestions in general, please do let me know.
I did gift baskets with values around £50 for friends for Xmas but I'm hoping to really blast this and make it well worth winning.
It's being held on Halloween, so plenty of time but I want to maximise the potential by starting early.
Any ideas, please do let me know :)
I'm starting with S&G tomorrow hopefully.

All being well, there will be so many glitches before then, that your basket will be the Envy Of All!!! Folk will be rushing hither and thither in their eagerness to buy raffle tickets.

Last month, I sent someone on this board (Nuninge I think) about half a dozen items from No 7 nail care, which had cost me pennies with the Blinkies, and the postage was under £2. There'll be similar things when the next No 7 voucher appears.

I am awash with Pantene Repair & Protect sachets at the mo, and they'll cost b*gger all to post, so I can start you off with some of those - PM me your address if you'd like them.

    xx

    SandraScarlett - thankyou. I've sent a pm.
It might interest you to read here and here which should demonstrate how much last year hit me and why I'm planning a basket :)
I never met the child but I met her parents, aunt and little sister and that was heart breaking. I have two girls who were almost the same age as when she died and it horrified me. So, I figure it's a good cause to support. The money goes to the Meningitis Trust.
Thought I'd better share since you've offered to send stuff on the basis of little information. The family know I'm planning a basket and that it will be Boots products, they just don't know about the Bootsers part of MSE so I'm hoping the contents will be a big surprise :)

Obsessing about remortgaging and interest rates all day, every day:)

  • Went to Braehead store yesterday. Lots of putter sets around for anyone still looking for them.

No reduced HE or Anti Fatigue kits I could find. Almost no clearance items around including shampoo or skincare for use with wrinklies.

Still, the putter sets are good for gifts. Also lots of Love Notes brochures with the 500 points coupon for Girard about. I picked up a couple so if anyone needs one pm me and I can send on.

Hiya can you please explain a bit more about this and the cosmo voucher? Many Thanks in advance.

I read on this forum that there is a voucher for 750 points when buying Lacoste Love of Pink or Touch of Pink on page 165 of the March issue of Cosmopolitan.

    HTH :D

Just found the original post about this: many thanks to meandmaboy

    Good Evening Bootsers,
March Edition of 'COSMO' shows if you buy any 'Love of Pink 50ml or 90ml EDT until 17th FEB you get a free pink vanity bag.:j :j :j :j :j
Heart shaped gift box contains Touch of Pink & Love of Pink15ml this comes with any purchaseof Lacoste 50ml or larger women's OR men's fragrance. Valid from 18th Feb to 11th March.
Lastly receive 750 adv card points when you buy LACOSTE Love of Pink 50ml or 90ml EDT.
Valid from 1st FEB until 11th March.

My interpretation is that you could get either of the gifts & the 750 points.:T :T :T :T :T
    HTH.

So do you have to have the voucher from the mag or are the points automatically added?

And if you need a voucher does any one have a spare that we could agree to deal on??

OFF TOPIC: Searched high and low for a snowsuit/all in one for my almost 1 year old nephew. Can't locate a single one. Been to Boots, Sainsbury's, Patch something or the other, Mothercare, Adams is now shut. Where else is there I can get one? HELP! My nephew is 1 next month and I want to get him a really nice one. Ta muchly.

Do you have a Jojo Maman Bebe shop near to you? (They don't seem to have any stock of the larger sizes online at the mo, which is a shame as there are codes floating around) I have one of these for my little man (who is 1 next month too). Best all in one ever, I know it is quite pricey but it is much easier to get on and of than those great big padded things that make babies look like the marshmallow man in Ghostbusters lol (showing my age). They do a lovely matching hat and matching mittens that clip onto the suit.

I had a quick look at cosmo this morning and didn't see a voucher. That doesn't mean that it isn't there, it just means that I didn;t see it!!! It could even have been the wrong edition of the mag. Is the March one still in the shops now?
