Hi cave, I have actually asked about skincare/ haircare without sulphates and parabens in the past for my mom. I only know the Naked range at Boots. Thanks for the tip. and for those interested Boots do do AMIE and they are now on 2 for £7 accoridng to their website. I have never seen it in store, tough.
They only stock it in the larger stores, I think (although curiously enough, Edinburgh Fort - which is a pretty big retail park store - don't seem to stock it, but St James Centre - not tiny but by no means huge, no premium beauty counters etc - do). You'll find it with the "teenage skin" section - OXY, Witch etc.
*uses the whole range, even though she's not a teenager (22)*
In the hand cream saga, I took the Endless Glove back to Princes St today. The SA I spoke to had to get a manager over, but when I explained to her what had happened, she was quite happy to do the exchange. I took along another S&G voucher in case there was an issue with that since I used one when I bought it in the first place, but she just did a straight exchange on the till for the full price. So I now have a full size tube of lovely smelling Hand Food instead.
They've set up a No7 clearance stand since I was last in. The usual sun stuff, P&P hair spritz etc, but I did get a half price Time Resisting Day & Night Eye Care gel/cream in the old packaging (£8.something as opposed to just over £17.00) and an Essential Moisture Day Cream and used up my 2 remaining 250 points gwp vouchers. So all in all a successful day's Bootsing for me.0 -
Hi Rose, you can't use vouchers at Beckton, and it appears from OP post, that there isn't much there at the mo. Will probably leave it till later this month. xx0

Hi Mimi
I bought DD1 one of these and I'm now using it for DD2. It looks like new still and keeps her really warm. It has fold back feet, so if you don't want to put shoes on you can cover the feet. It also has fold back mittens. It is a single layer of fleece so not bulky but really warm. It means the LO can run around and not be confined. It is a really good fit from 1 to 2 years. This has to be one of my best buys for my LOs.
OK sales pitch over :rotfl:0 -
Sandra Scarlett edited her War and Peace post, cos she realised she had typed that 3 x 27p = 91p, and she meant 81p! It was a typographical error, and I apologise!0

There was still 2 left on shelf.
Hope you get one....great bargain.:j
Thanks to SkatteBasse, I got the bargain of the week from the Trafford Retail Park store! I'm now the proud owner of the Lee Stafford Box of Tricks!
And there were still 4 left, even when I'd bought mine, if this helps anyone!
I rang up first, to check they had them & spoke to the manager (think he was called Paul) who was really helpful & put one to one side for me (I'd already rung over 10 other stores, closer to where I live & none had any). They are still marked up at £34, though. Even the manager was surprised when I asked him on the phone to price check them for me. And when I got there, there were other straighteners on offer, if you don't want the hairdryer as well (including Head Kandi & Tresemme ones - the Tresemme ones were £27 on the SEL & price checked at £17.99, same as the Lee Stafford ones, & come with some Tresemme Products. I forget how much the Head Kandi ones were, but they had a free MP3 player with them). They are on a clearance stand at the end of an aisle, so its worth getting a price check on things.
That store was also showing the Girrard sets at full price, I thought it might be because of Valentines Day, but others on here have said that its half price elsewhere, so again, a price check might show otherwise. There were some other fragrances on offer (including lots of Kelly Brook sets!). Couldn't see much in the way of any other clearance, apart from at the tills, where there were some odds & ends of 17 & other cheaper cosmetics at 75p & 50p - the kind SA put two lip glosses through at 50p for me, instead of 75p! She said they had to go!!
I always feel so guilty when I wander round the store, looking for stuff on clearance. I'm sure they think I'm a potential shoplifter & then I become even more conscious of what I'm doing & start to get all hot & bothered!! I'm sure the security guards have got me up on the walls of their offices as a "suspicious" person!!
Got another meal deal with Creme Eggs (but no BOGOF's on the soft drinks today) & the ACM was Out of Order, so no minimum spend vouchers to be had. Ended up paying with my points, as I've still got over £100 & figured I'd benefit from not spending any cash just before payday, so I came away with a bag-full of stuff for nothing!! lol!! :rotfl:
Thanks to everyone on here who pointed out the bargain, especially SkatteBasse.:T
S xxEverything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:0 -

Thanks for that. I probably wont be able to get there for a few weeks anyway. I wish I could find somebody to accompany me on Boots trips- all my family think I am obsessed. Anyway DD is having her 4 friends round on Wednesday night and I am going to make up a basket of Haircare, Skincare , HE ad Pantene sachets so they can have some freebies.0 -
Re the S & G minis, they will not scan. You have to ask the SA to over-ride the till, and you must be patient, cos this can often take ages! Which is why, once the SA has the hang of it, it's probably worth your while to put through a few at a time.
When I told BV I had bought 3 on Saturday, but used 3 separate tills, she said "why?", and I don't know why!!!
This is going to be something else that is going to be great if you put half a dozen in a bag and give as a little cheer-up pressie, or as a something extra to put in a Birthday or Christmas hamper, give to Bazaars, OAP homes, refuges, the poor ......................... the sick ................... the needy ........ young ......... old ..........0 -
super_keen_money_saver wrote: »Apologies this is chat but SandraScarlett you're post was fantastic!! Reminds me of trying to get SKMS Snr into bootsing (who is now officially more addicted than I am but isn't always brave enough to try some of the glitches and voucher combos!). Also thanks for all the info on all the stores - was toying with the idea of going to some of those stores 2mw but don't think I'll bother with some!
Again off topic but does anyone have any good recommendations for creams or solutions to use for psoriasis? Many TIA
With regard to psoriasis, I have found Exorex Lotion really works (unfortunately it is not cheap) and if you need a shampoo, Polytar is great, but the smell is a bit of a drawback (although once hair is dry it doesn't linger).0
