They had the Olay gwp which I took one with a total effects skin exfoliator but the sa scanned the gwp first and when it came up free she checked the label and said I hadn't got the qualifying purchase so said I'd better leave it then and fled.
Try the ss tills if you dare. I did so today and got a GWP no problems. HTHMake £2012 in 2012 member #88

The Stay Imperfect (not a mistake!!) nail varnish and other nailish things are £6.60, whereas they're only £6.10 in Romford, and the 3 for 2 Indulgent Bath stuff was £1 an item dearer - that's a lot of money.
Is this the same in other big cities, or does Mr B assume that just Londoners are rolling in money?
Its central london thats got the higher prices - I just try not to buy anything from Boots if I can help it while i'm at work because of it, £1.30 for a ribena bottle when I can walk to Waitrose and get one for 86p? Come on Mr B!~*Cerenia*~

I swear if Boots sold gates, there'd be a 'gategate' before too long
The full-sized TS straightening balm thing for long hair was marked down to £1.22 locally yesterday - on clearance but had the SEL showing the £1.22
It's this one:

Huddersfield boots today have free gift when you spend £30 or more oon perfume.
Big box next to the perfume till wrapped in red.
Don't know whats inside i imagine old GWPS.
So if you are buying the perfume anyways and your in the area, just thought i would share.
Rhey have also taken lots of herbal essences 400mls off the shelf and they were behind the tills by the exit nearest the Packhorse centre.
The nice assistant said they are still scanning at £2.92 but the lady that does all the reductions is in again on monday so be expecting some more reductions.
So if you live in Hudds and want to boost your points then keep an eye on the herbal.
Didn't see anything else in store that was exciting.
I am being ever so good with my bootsingn lately, trying to save cash still for a birthday trip next year but i have defected to lush alot lately.
Those grab bags have been my downfall.:D0 -

It does tend to seperate in the tube so be sure to give it a good shake and a bit of a squish before you open the tube. An alternative is olive oil (or baby oil) and sugar which works on the same principle.
I also like the Olay hand treatment and the Elle McPherson hand cream, they are the two best handcreams I've used. The Olay one seems to have some sort of exfoliator in it, very fine, and it removes dead skin cells to leave your hands looking fresh and feeling super soft if you keep on rubbing it in after it's nearly absorbed.

What's the Olay one called - and any idea if I could use a wrinklie on it? *g*
Thanks for the tip about the S&G one, skibster - I'm not particularly looking for fragrance free, just something that doesn't smell really strong/horrible. I don't mind the smell of S&G though (I've actually just used some of my Righteous Butter on my hands cause they're really dry after baking), so I might have a look at that tomorrow. I wonder if I could try SandraScarlett's trick with the voucher (the "I've done this before, you'll have to put it through manually" one) - worth a try, I reckon.
Thanks to everyone else who suggested things - I have lots of ideas of what to look out for tomorrow (now watch me come home with 3 different hand creams lol).
Btw, does anyone have the link for the new version of the S&G voucher handy - I'm looking through past pages of the thread but can only find the original one. Thanks.0 -

passion8, I used to think the ACM was some sort of ordering point. I too never accepted vouchers and steadfastly refused to apply for an Advantage card. I only filled the form in for one so I could get the H&B mag free for DD one day. Then it took me months to save up 100 points which I blew on a bottle of bubble bath, I only ever used to go into Boots for paracetamol :rotfl:
:rotfl: Where did it all go right
I thought they were offering me a Boots credit card! Not surprised I got some weird looks when I refused it, and not so weird ones when I gave any vouchers that dared to make their way into the carrier bag
, to the person behind me

linzdelene wrote: »Sorry it isn't Boots - but a bargain all the same! This cream is FANTASTIC! I had REALLY dry hands until I read about it last week on HUKD. Think it is normally £10, but £5 presently + there is a 15% voucher around + quidco + if you get four P&P is free. Unfortunately it is out of stock at the moment, but I have had email alerts and it seems come in and out of stock regularly. Definately worth it!
