They must be taking their time withdrawing it off the website as it's still working if you follow the instructions below.

Offer Code: SALE140068031302
Possibly withdrawing it later but if moneysavers act quickly they can still take advantage.

This isn't a very good deal if you are simply looking to find a cheaper alternative to the Humax HD PVR. You would pay £49 for a sky+HD box (only the standard box is free) you would then pay £16.50 a month for the standard package and you would have to pay an extra £9.99 a month to receive HD channels (only standard channels are free) so it works out over the year at £367 and after that you still have to keep paying for your subscription.
Once your year subscription is over, unless you re-new your contract the sky box stops working so you can no longer record or watch HD channels so your left with a box that does nothing apart from being able to watch standard TV channels with no recording functionality.
With the freesat box you buy the box for £289.99 and a quad LNB kit upgrade for your satellite dish costing £34.99 so the total comes to £324.98. Then you have a box that works for life and is able to get all the free HD channels as well as standard freeview channels. The freesat box can also do a lot more than the sky+ box for example you can copy your recordings off it, it has a larger hard disk (all of which you can use unlike sky) there are also more channels to chose from with more in the pipeline for the future.
I would just go with freesat, it is a much better deal, you also get a 2 year warranty with it whereas if your sky+ box breaks down you need to pay £70 for someone to fix it and it only comes with a 1 year warranty.0 -
I called Sky today to see if I could get a Sky package including broadband where they would also install a phone line for free. Of course I never thought it would happen. I told them I lived in communal accommodation so they couldn't install a dish.
They passed me onto one of their partners who advised me there was a new deal starting today.
This is what I got:
Free phone line connection
Free SKY+ installation
Free SKY+ box
£16.50 per month for the Sky Variety Pack
First 3 months line rental free
£10 a month line rental thereafter (12 month contract)
Unlimited download broadband
Free evening and weekend call plan.
To be honest it seems too good to be true.
They have taken card details and I am now waiting for my Sky card, when I get it, I ring them to advise them to do the install.
The partner I was transferred to was "Top line Digital"
Hope this helps

I called up sky around 2.15pm to get this offer because I don't have a BT line.
I told the adviser the promo code and got the sky+ package no problem. getting it installed next week0 -
See my post above #65 Tesco are doing sky+HD pay upfront for £194.77. Seems a bit cheaper than freesat, sky will also install and give you the quad lnb as standard.
Unfortunately even with the Tesco deal if you dont contunue paying a sky+ subscription you loose the recording feature of the box which is the main reason people want a PVR so the freesat box is definately the way to go, here is the small print for the Tesco deal:
After 2 months, you will continue to receive Sky TV 4 pack, Sky Movies 1, Sky Sports 1 (£37) and HD pack (£10) for £47 / month. Let us know before your 2 month trial is up if you no long wish to receive Sky TV. You will still be able to watch over 200 free digital channels including BBC HD and Channel4 HD which are available without subscription. You will need a Sky+ subscription to continue enjoying Sky+ recording features. Sky+ features free if you continue to receive Sky TV. Sky+HD needs to be connected to an active telephone for 12 months. Compatible TV and home cinema system required.0 -
hi
i am on the phone now and have just got the deal bye bye virgin!
(plus the offer is still available on line!) the Sky press office are taking there time if they are taking it off..............0 -
I agree with Pedro6994, FreeSat (from BBC/ITV) is the way to go.
Instead of looking at the SKY HD+ plus package from Tesco, you may want to go for the standard Sky (Pay Once Watch Forever) Package @ £73.40 and buy a FreeSAT HD Receiver / Humax HD PVR at a later date. (this is still cheaper than the cost of an official FreeSat installation)
You will get the dish supplied and fitted, a Sky DRX550 receiver, 4 mixes free for 4 months and you can cancel by giving 30 days notice before the 4 months expire whist still benefiting from the free channels afterwards.
(Ideally, you could do with a Quad LNB being installed if you want to use a PVR, either tell the installer that you're thinking of going with SKY+HD at a later date, or for a small charge s/he'll install it)
Tesco Link
(If you buy instore, you get the receiver there and then)
