  • Hi, i rang sky this week to cancel my subscription. It was costing me £54 per month, including sports and kids chanels and 2meg broadband. To keep my custom they offered me line rental, broadband and basic sky deal for £16.50.
    So take bt line rental £11, broadband £5 off it means i'm now paying 50p for my Sky+ per month......Bargain! And much more affordable!!:j
  • Does this offer include instalation and the cost of the satellite dish?
  • I was getting standard box installed this Friday and enquired with agent today about changing it to Sky+ box. The agent told me they cannot offer this deal as they have had an email from Sky saying the deal is no longer available and they must not offer it to customers. I then called Sky who claim the offer is still valid. The agent is going to speak with Sky later to clarify and phone me back so I will provide an update when I get one...

    Not a good start for a new customer to Sky. Already wondering whether I have made a bad decision...

    Try what i did first Owen, you might find they won't give you the offer with it being the same address for the new installation. Good luck!
  • i have rang sky to cancel my account at november the 4th and they have told me it will be canceled. but they still have not canceled it and they still sending me bill out but i have not been paying it. i have rang them again to tell them i have requested to cancel in november but i am still reciving bills and sky has not been canceled. the person i have spoke said he said he can see cancelation request in system, i have asked him to get someone to give me call as i will not pay for it he said he will get some one to give me a call but still waiting after a week . WHAT DO I DO? Please help
  • I cancelled Sky a few months back because they wouldnt upgrade my box to the sky+ for the 'new customer rate', but wanted to charge me £149.00. I was so annoyed that I cancelled the subscription after being a loyal customer for 11yrs.

    I saw this offer this morning but as I had cancelled my sky within the last few months I was not eligible to the new offer. I spoke to an advisor via the online chat facility and have just signed up and got the offer I wanted (all I was told to do was select NO to 'are you an existing customer or have you left sky within the past 12 months question' and then when prompted to type a landline number select 'I dont have a phone number but will have one within 6 weeks) and this over-rides their system. I went on as normal and should have installation in the 1st week of Feb.

    Thought I'd share incase anyone else is in a similar situation.

  • I've just tried the code and it worked for me. I put the code in first and then clicked what extras I wanted. I did note that it reset everything when I clicked continue but put everything in again and it worked fine.

    Installation hopefully on 7 February :D

    I have been wanting sky+ for ages so very pleased.

    Ok, after seeing the free sky + offer for new customers and reading the previous threads of what people have saved ive just rang Sky with the intention of cancelling my sky after 3 years because i am disgusted that new customers can get all this free stuff and loyal customers (me) have to pay £110 squid plus, any ways after much haggling (dont accept first offer) ive got Sky plus for £49 squid and free instelation, i did have to subscribe to movies at £10 squid but i can cancel that after one month. Not free but i'm happy with what i got, maybe someone else can go better than me and get it for free?

  • It's also tracking in Quidco but not sure if this means I'm going to get the cashback - first time for me on Quidco so not sure how it works.
  • Does that include the dish? We live in a flat but have no dish??????????
