Ah Lucy, don't be so hard on yourself. The scales are still going in the right direction, and tomorrow is a brand new month! xx

  • Aw Lucy at least its a loss and not a gain!! I'm the same as you, I thought I would have lost more than I did - instead of being downhearted I'm more determined to succeed in my half stone in March!! ;) We can do it!!! :D

I am stiff as a board. I had my free exercise today - firstly be standing on a street corner waving a bucket and sponge then having to scrabble on the floor for money that had been chucked at me, then I was on carwashing duty for a few hours. It was great fun, yes, I got wet and boy some people don't seem to wash their cars. One car that came in was a shade of grey but when we cleanined it it came up silver:j

Managed to have a bit of lunch too - cheese sandwich on wholemeal, a couple of cherry toms, half a packet of cheese n onion crisps and a few slurps of vimto. Since arrivig home I have eaten a creme egg:rolleyes: I have discovered muscles I didnt have but then I had a great time and feel sure that I have lost some weight:j

Well done Horace - sounds like a good day! Hope you raised loads of money for charity.

Dragon - thanks for the info hun. Didn't think i was doing enough excercise to be building muscle tbh as i've been trying to do more of the aerobics stuff which is fat burning! Well good to know i'm doing something right from what you say, and will keep myself motivated by thinking about being more toned up and keeping up with the excercise! Did 40 mins on wii fit last night while watching Chubby Children - about at 10stone 9 year old - and it kept me going. Have to say i was quite proud of myself as well as i was hardly out of breath after all that stepping!

well done everyone on there weight loss
    xx
  • Good Evening All,

So I finally weighed myself and I’ve lost a massive 1lb this month (woo hoo!) so nowhere near my 4lb target but hey, I’ve not exactly been particularly good or controlled, just getting better so I really shouldn’t complain.

Did Davina’s Power of 3 workout yesterday and a lot of walking today and my legs (thighs especially) are absolutely killing me! Can’t wait until it’s even worse tomorrow!

Coffeholic – any compliment from a family member especially a brother means you obviously look really good and the weight loss is obvious! Or maybe that’s just my family – LOL ;0) Well done!

Plzhelpmesave – the Size Down scheme sounds brilliant – I always think I know all that kind of stuff from years of reading books, websites conversations with friends etc but I reckon having it all spelt out clearly and understanding actual fat contents etc would be really beneficial. Feel free to share your new found knowledge! As for the low carb thing not working – are you following a particular diet/food plan as such? I could copy and send you recipes from my low-GI book although in all honesty I’ve hardly cooked anything from it TBH!

Gemsy – well done on reaching your half stone for the month. Great news, just think, if you manage something similar in March that’s a stone in 2 months which is fantastic stuff.

Aytch – congrats too, you managed twice as much as me in half the time, nice!

Lucyhope – snap! Let’s make sure March is our month eh?!

Horcace – no mention of the firemen, weren’t they there providing a bit of eye candy and a reason to breathe in constantly?!!

Dragon – if you had to choose between staying put or increasing, I reckon I’d know which one you’d prefer ;-) You have been quite unwell too, bless.

    Marmalde – another loss, congrats!

So I’m going to find and sign up to the March thread now – here we go, this month is going to be THE ONE! I can feel it in my bones.

    Hugs to all,
    NTL

Firemen pffff... they were all old and some were fat and not eye candy. Saw one when I broke the loo:eek: (it refused to flush as the tank wouldnt fill up), then as my chum's hubby is a fireman we went and sat in their mess room to eat our lunch.

Two ambulance men were there and they were quite tasty if you like that sort of thing. I was there for 4 hours which was long enough, today I cannot raise my right arm above my head, my knees ache (well I was kneeling to clean filthy hubcaps) and my back aches too but I am feeling rather chuffed at the amount we raised for FastAid and how little the firemen took for their benevolent fund.

In all we raised £1439.95 and gave the firemen £300 leaving us with £1139.95 which is half a kit:j

Can't wait for the next one, we will use a different fire station which is on the main drag out of birmingham and in the heart of student land too:D

Dinner last night was some beef in guiness from the freezer.

Today had: coffee and a chocolate biscuit (I needed the sugar)
Lunch: cheese n beetroot sandwich on wholemeal bread with a little scraping of Clover
Afternoon snack (at mum's) a cup of tea, with a homemade fairy cake (reduced in fat because my mum is on a low cholesterol diet).
Dinner: 3 small lamb chops, 3 roast potatoes, glob of port n redcurrant jelly, mixed veg and gravy, followed by a slice of apple pie and one of my mum's fairy cakes.
  • Had my final weigh in today and lost another 2 lbs so that takes me to a stone for Jan and Feb combined. Well chuffed!!!:D :j

    Feeling positive for March too.
