Well so far Feb isn't going so well for me.

On Sunday I met my Dad to go shopping for Mum's birthday - it was flipping cold. We didn't get much shopping done but we did have a long leisurely lunch in a restaurant and 2 large glasses wine:beer:

Then yesterday evening I did the weekly shop - with meals planned, shopping list etc :j . However the one thing I did wrong was take boyfriend with me. Somehow the fish & boiled potatoes that was supposed to be dinner last night turned into Taco's with cheese, sour cream & all things unhealthy!!

Baby boy due christmas day 2013, born 4 days late (phew), 8lb8oz, another homebirth
  • Tuesday is my weigh in day, so this week I lost ... 2lbs:j
Really chuffed with that! Hopefully I can keep that up.
My boyfriend works in Africa 5 weeks at a time, I've lost 10lbs in the 3 weeks he's been away so far. He comes home in 2 weeks and this time I'm determined not to let him ruin my weight loss. He always wants to take me for meals or get a takeaway etc cos he's lived on rice and peas for a month :D but I'll have to learn to say no.
Hope you're all having a good morning!

  • Morning all, hope everyone's well!!

It's not going badly for me (so far) Yesterday I went shopping and was very virtuous and bought lots of fruit and veggies, had to walk past the chocolate aisle with my eyes closed though :D Am determined to actually eat it all, its usually left to rot in favour of sweets and biscuits! I walked to the supermarket and back which was about a mile, so given that my asthma's giving me hell cos of the cold weather that was yesterday's exercise.

Tonight I'm working late so dinner will be beef and veggie stew that is bubbling away in my slow cooker as I type. I'm planning on soup and ricecakes for lunch and hoping not to succumb to the snack monster that usually rears its head around 4pm :rotfl:
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person... :D:p

  • Morning all!!

    Thanks for the welcome! :D

Yesterday went ok for me - managed not to snack all day, and stuck to my eating plan pretty much 100%!! Lets hope it's the sign of things to come! Didn't manage any exercise though, had a bit of a sore stomach so wasn't feeling too energetic! need to try and make up for that today! :o I take the guides on a Tuesday, so don't normally fit any exercise in because I don't have much time after work - but tonight - I'll just have to make it happen!!

As for food - haven't yet eaten today! - And I'm now marvin'!! I'm thinking if I have quite a large brekkie, it can do as brunch, which should see me through 'til dinner! Then, since I'll be at the guides tonight, I'll be too busy to be snacking! :D

Well - that's the plan anyway.......

Happy fat busting everyone - hope you all have a good day!!

    xx
  • Hey guys

May i join you please? I did try on the old style weight loss thread but couldn't stick with it... love the thought of this one being a month at a time. Can't believe how quickly a month goes by.... already feb so in another couple of months we should all be looking fab!!

I am 13stone 6lbs and should ideally be 10stone 11lbs. Have a family wedding in July so if i start now will have lost 2and half stone for the wedding which would be great!!

I had a bit of a Paul mcKenna thing going on too at beginning of Jan but then just stopped, even though i lost a couple of lbs. I need to do more excercise and cut out the junk - which i did but then last week hav been back on the snacks mainly chocolattte.

Have to say i felt amazing after i lost just a couple of pounds as i could really see a visible difference - esp my back rolls and waist, so am gonna try and recapture that feeling - a la Paul mcK!! - every time i want to eat junk and focus on getting thinner and healthier and staying that way.

A friend said something recently about how beautiful I used to be.... which was meant as a compliment... i think!! at least that is how i took it and it made me think that i want to feel beautiful again.

This thread, your support and me getting myself sorted will all help to do that .... lets go guys!!
  • sorry... the dragon, been a bit ahead of myself and changed my signaure to get the motivation going!!

also had a thought... its already 3rd feb, only 28 days in feb, so gonna be really challenging this month...!

Me too, I'm sure I shouldn't but it keeps me on the straight and narrow. I find if I don't weigh I don't even think about what I'm eating that day, if I do weigh it crosses my mind from one degree to another!

Me too, and for the same reason. It does concentrate the mind!!! :D

No gym for me today, just plenty of walking. I had buttered toast for breakfast though, I prefer muesli/porridge but had no milk. So not a good start!!! Never mind, I am having a salad pitta and a pear for lunch so that'll make up for it.
