morning all:D
Daisy hope you are feeling better after the dentist! If it is any comfort I feel lots better today after my root extraction on Weds.
Ds is at school and I am going to pick him up at 12 30 to go for his Dyspraxia assessment. I am feeling apprehensive about it to be honest:rolleyes: . I know he has it as he ticks every box but I know if they confirm it today I will get emotional and show myself up:rolleyes: . I was the same when they diagnosed his autism when he was 2 and a half...I knew deep down he had it but held onto this small hope in the back of my mind that he didnt and that I was getting carried away with myself...when they did confirm it I just felt shattered.
I know it is better for him if he is diagnosed as he can hopefully get more help but I just sometimes feel sad that with autism, APD and dyspraxia my beautiful boy has so much to fight against.
Enough of my self indulgence anyway, there are others on here with worse things to worry about.:o
OS wise WM is on and tea already sorted for later....leftover sausage and sweet tomato bake from yesterday will become a pasta dish.
Hugs to all who need them and meows to the poorly pets from my fat cat0 -

Hello all,
I haven't really been doing anything very interesting for a while.
I have lost 8lbs in weight since xmas by being more sensible about food and getting off my backside to do some excercise.(I always put on at least half a stone in the winter hols).
Today is my evening to myself and I will have LO rice for tea with baked beans and chili and mushrooms.
Its pouring again. There hasn't been much chance for gardening yet this year, it is either stodgy from rain or too hard from the frost.
I cut my hair last week and it went very well . A short bob just below my ears. I used 3 mirrors instead of two, one in front and two to the sides, it was much easier than 2,less twisting around. OH said he preferred it short and I wondered why he hadn't said so in the 2 years it was long!

just read the end of yesterdays thread
hugs to you Moggins about the teachers treatment of your son.
I don`t think teachers realise the detrimental effect their attitudes have on children, both in what they can achieve and on their self esteem:mad:
My son is 5 and has two teachers as they job share. One is wonderful with him and really positive to him, the other is a horrible old cow who seems to actively dislike SEN kids, I have seen her turn away and ignore him when he has been trying to say something:mad: ...it takes him a while to get sentances out at times.
I realise that not all teachers wanted to teach SEN and didnt specialise in it but a bit of understanding wouldnt go amiss.0 -
Hello Possums

Slightly tipsy Aussie posting tonight.
You lot are so lovely. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. You've really made my day special. DH took me out for tea which was lovely. Much nicer than the Bowls Club that's for sure.
I had 2 desserts.
But I didn't eat lunch so that's ok.
Snowy So nice for you to drop in. Please keep posting. We've missed you.
mummysaver Glad it all turned out well. Take it easy.
Well not a lot of OS'ing today but I'm sure I'll be forgiven. Tennis is much more important.
<hugs> to those not well. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

morning all!! dull, wet and grey here this morning. plans today are to get my avon books prepped and ready to go out with the deliveries on tuesday, make a ham broth for tea and a general tidy up. oh and i must write a shopping list for tomorrows shop. Youngest DS is staying at a friends tonight so at least there wont be any arguing over the xbox for a change!
Had to cancel my milkman this morning. i like to support the local businesses but with money as tight as it is i cant justify spending £4 per week on 7 pints of milk at the moment.
hugs to those that need them and birthday wishes to aussielass!! x0 -

Thanks for the good wishes peeps!
I'm relaxed about it all Sybil cos nobody was really hurt, least of all me, I just got a swift bump on the bonce that knocked me out, haven't even got a lump, just a slight bruise! Not sure whether to be pleased for you about your cyst bursting or not! Guess it means it'll be gone soon - well I hope so!
NPM - hope that the assessment isn't too traumatic, will be thinking of you and your baby xx As for his teacher that ignores him, well that just makes my blood boil, it's simply bad manners aside from anything else, what a mean woman. Glad his other teacher is lovely. Our schools here are fairly tiny, but there are a fair few special needs children at all of them, and I can truley say that the teachers are always great with them. My dd3 has a little lad at her school, he's in reception and has only just started talking, the kids all love him to bits and are always looking out for him, his current thing is for animals, so he has been put in charge of the birdwatch thing today, my dd and her friends were telling me about it yesterday and they are all so proud of him and cheering him on! I love the fact that all children of whatever ability are included completely here, it really teaches all of them that people are different and how to get along with everyone.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
