    Morning :hello:

I've spent the last few days like a zombie  I'll fall asleep at 10pm-ish then be wide awake 2 hours later and can't get back to sleep. It really caught up with me yesterday - I woke up on the sofa wondering where I was. We unplug everything at night, so we never bother setting the time on the DVD player cos we'd have to do it every day. I looked at it and it said 6.28am. I panicked cos master tru was still in bed and would be late for work so I stumbled into the kitchen, filled the kettle for his flask then went to wake him up and he wasn't there  Then I realised that I hadn't put the lights on because there was daylight  So I went back downstairs and checked 2 other clocks - it was actually 2pm :rotfl: I spent the rest of the day in a daze, I knew I was there but it felt like I wasn't, IYKWIM :D

I slept all night last night, but I'm exhausted now. I'm trying to get back into a normal sleep pattern so I'm forcing myself to go shopping this morning, then if the weather's good (ie. not raining, lol) we're going to build bases for the greenhouses. That should set me up for a good night's sleep :D

Well got another busy day planned here as after my last two days of retail therapy I desperately need to get up to date with the washing, cleaning and ironing plus need to bake some bread and cakes.Hubbys on lates tonight so I get the joy of watching what I want on tv for once:D Plus I've got all the movies from the movie cube to choose from ahhhhhhh joy cant wait:cool:

My only excursions out of the house today should be to drop the tinies and pick them up from school and collect hubbies prescription from the dr's and get it filled at the chemist next door.

Right off to put my stinking carcass into the shower have a nice day everyone

    Morning all:j :j ,

Its very very wet here this moring.
I think that the wether is really reflecting the mood of the country at the moment there are so many strestd, unhappy, fed up, worried people at the moment!
And it looks like its only going to get harder and harder for people to stay in work or get a new job, pay there bills, and put food on the table.
We can only hope that things will get better soon! But deep down i think that we all know that this recshion is well over due and is going to be deep and last for months and months yet.
I read on one of the money blogs on the net that it could last for the next 18 months brfore it even starts to get any better:eek:
Anyway enough of the bad stuff and onto some good!!
    Anyone know anything good?:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Well heres one im sat here drinking a mug of coffee!!!!! Now in some countrys i could count my self very lucky if i just had the clean water to drink, that i uesed to make the coffee. and i would be a very very rich man to drink coffee.

We are very luckly in this country that we have clean water , and that if we do end up loseing our jobs the dole office will give us some money to put food in our bellys! ok not a lot of money and when you been earning hunderds a month it is a big drop! but our gov dose not let us starve! in some countrys the we would starve!!

So lets remember the little things in life today. There is going to bed loads of bad news! peopel loseing there jobs, houses, cars, But in the end we have what counts!

We have Clean drinking water,a Gov that wont let us starve, the NHS, and the most inportant we have our famalys, and as humans we have the best and most inportant thing of all EACH OTHER:A :j :j

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE AND REMEMBER THINGS ARE HARD BUT THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE THAT IS HAVEING A HARDER TIME!!!:A
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

    Morning all,
DH and I finished DD's bedroom ceiling y/day, thank goodness. DH checked the roof and it needs re-felting. More expense to save money. I'll phone for estimates but doubt I can get anyone out before Tuesday.
Took DD2 to carpet shop and got another at a good price, since taking partition wall down there is a gap in the carpet so it has to be replaced.

Today I must put some cash into Nationwide, I opened an account because they don't charge commision for using a card abroad, the charges can add up to quite a bit. Have ordered extra meds for DH so must pick them up.
Ironing to do and start packing. Not looking forward to the flight, 3hrs to Helsinki, an hour there then 9 hrs to Hong Kong. I can never sleep on planes but DH is out for the count in minutes.
Got some YS haddock for dinner and YS strabs for pud tonight, BM and WM finished. Off to clean bathrooms and kitchen floor.
Hope today is kind to all.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSSIE _party_

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday AussieLass - have a great day

Not at work today. Waiting for DW part to be put in :j. Also got people coming in to measure my kitchen floor for new flooring after the water damage. They are supposed to be coming between 12-6. Anyone want to bet on them turning up as I dish dinner up???

Will give downstairs a good clean today and then some ironing is on the cards.

They are officially annoucning that we are in recession later on this morning, well thats something to look forward to hearing isn't it

Many many (((hugs)))) to everyone who needs them on here. I have been keeping upw ith the thread and there seems to be lots who need them at the moment for one thing or another. Keep your chins up everyone.
  • Happy Friday ((((((((((Family of the Heart)))))))))

Very dreary day here thus far. Not raining at the moment but has been. I've given up looking or listening to the weather forecasts. They've not even been close lately. ;)

    Hope you're enjoying your day
and have eaten lots of :bdaycake:

I have to go to one bank this morning and pay in there, then to our other bank a mile in the opposite direction to pay in there. The walk will do me good and I'll take furbaby Bree along. She will of course expect a good play in the park on our way back. Hoping it's not raining while I have to go. If it is, will just bundle up anyway. I refuse to pay £2 to go a mile and back on the bus. Cheap or money saving? :rotfl:

OS today will be starting the bread dough. I think I may try a different recipe this time so please send me good thoughts. Yeast and I are finally getting along with the one I've been using but I'm trying to be adventurous. :D

Also need to make up choc chip cookie dough and bake a couple of trays. DH's workmates have now decided I should send some in for them also. Silly boys! First they told DH I needed to get a life, now they have decided that my making bread, cookies and HM food is a life.

A quick tidy and a swish of the kitchen and bathroom will be the extent of my cleaning today. I may try to get a jump on tomorrow's chores though as it would be nice to know I have all day to play. :)

Thanks for this ((((((Halight))))))) Although it's been a long month for us with 6 weeks from payday til next, we are going to make it. Bills are paid and we're not going to go hungry. I'm grateful we're as well off as we are. So many are suffering all over the world as you said, without the things we take for granted. I too, feel very rich today. Thanks again for the reminder.

Have a good day all and know you are all thought of and prayed for.

Good morning there is actually daylight outside my window....maybe spring is just round the corner. It looks cold & frosty so will need to wrap up.
Slight detour after walk to school as my mum is borrowing the dog! So need to drop her off then in to work .
Steak pies for tea were half priced and delish served with a bag of reduced veg so a fairly cheap but tasty tea! Will probably make a cake for pud whilst oven is on.
    Have a good friday

Just a quick nip on the OS board this morning as i have 10 mins to get dressed and go and clean snow off the car, it shouldn't be too difficult. I'm going to go and clean my uncle's home for him and then visiting my poorly Dad, and Mum and then i might head back to Asda to try to buy more washing up liquid etc, that is on offer right now.

It's taken me that long to write this i now only have 8 mins to get ready!

Rightio, will read all through the thread later. Hope you all have a great day, Birthdy wishes to Aussielass!

    Morning everyone.

Didn't get on here yesterday other than for a quick scan. Busy day. Mum & Dad took us into Man for ds's music audition, by the time I got him back to school and I was home again it was 2.45. Went to Hobbycraft to get the base for a mask for the ball next week. Then made a massive pan of red cabbage to go with left over lamb.

I have found somewhere that sell free range eggs and convenient (well, relatively) as it's on the way to ds's school. Also carrots with dirt on them and other local veg. Not prices, so will enquire next time. I made a bad decision re eggs. she said med were 95p and large were £1.20 per half doz. Fine I thought and ordered 6 of each. WHen I looked at the large!!! They had really funny rough looking shells, HUGE! weighed them when I got home and they weighed 122g. Medium were 60g or thereabouts. DH came in and said 'what's wrong with those eggs?'. Maybe one of you chicken-keepers can enlighten me as to what the difference is, They have very rough and tough looking shells, crinkly surface.

I was really tired, but managed half of the evening at chorus, Now sitting in bed with the SAD lamp again, missed yesterday, but have to get myself to the doctor's this morning. I think part of the problem is that the med makes me very tired. Roll on the spring.

OS wise today, planning to prep the marmalade oranges. Might think about going to costco for a couple of things, parents like going and they don't have one. Anyone know if they stil have cheap sugar?

Also got to think of something for tea. Might be ready cooked chicken if we get to COstco, maybe roast veg? Or maybe a soup and pudding type of dinner, have some ends of jam, so could do mini sponge puds.

    Any ideas welcome.

Hoping you all have a good day
