    Good morning all!

Bright here, but raining, must be a monkey's birthday lol! Oops, Happy Birthday Aussie - sure the monkey bit only counts if you're in the same place as the rain and sun!!!!!

Roly - sorry forgot to say, yes they are the ying and yang beans! I didn't have a great harvest last year either, but I like to think that it was down to the strange weather all summer lol!

Well I went out last night with some friends, and on the way home someone knocked us into a hedge, which was lucky cos further up the road it's water either side! Thankfully nobody was badly hurt, but I did get knocked unconscious for a bit, good job everyone had seatbelts on. After a nice ride in an ambulance and an x-ray I tumbled into bed. Luckily my friends' car just has a small scrape. I think the chap who hit us just lost control on the wet muddy road. Anyway I'm now very disappointed as I was off to London later today to see a friend, and was going to meet up with another OSer on Saturday, and then go to a friend's 40th party the next day, and I really don't feel up to driving that far right now.

On the bright side I was advised to rest, so I shall be spending the day mostly in bed, which means I can surf, watch old Bond films and drink tea to my heart's content!

OS wise things aren't so bright, curry was made yesterday in the sc luckily, to give it time to develop (the soya chunks are fab, haven't had them for ages and forgot how tasty they were in curry), I'd put on the bm before I went out, so we have plenty of bread, house is relatively tidy so I can live with that, only thing I've done today is wash up and feed the cats and dog, oh and wave the kids off to school!

Going to enjoy my cuppa and surf now, hugs to all in need xx

    Morning peeps

i`ve not been around for a couple of weeks, i know that i shall have missed loads but i hope that everyone is well.

I used my spare time swotting up for a job interview and brushing up on things that i haven`t done for ages - anyway the interview is now over so i`m just waiting to hear from them but i`ve decided that i won`t be going ahead with the job if i get offered it. Too many uncertainties and an hour commute each way would be too much for me. I also worked out the travelling costs and they were waaay more than i expected - the wage wasn`t enough to compensate for that either as it was actually lower than i was first told  Although not secure atm i shall be staying put!

I see that today is your Birthday Aussie, many happy returns, have a wonderful day! :bdaycake:

((((HUGS)))) to Tired mum and Cruicksl

Well today is my day off and i was more than ready for it, i seem to have lived at w*rk lately but the overtime will come in handy, i`m planning to pay one of our debts off next week so fingers crossed that my calculations are correct :D i`m terrible at maths but i hope that i`ve worked this one out right, i shall find out soon :D

I woke at five thirty and so far have made a batch of breadcakes and pizza dough is currently mixing away in the bm, the washing is hung on the airers on the radiators so should be dry by sixish, the dw is finished and emptied and the houndies are snoring away after an early walk in the snow

Yes it`s snowing here atm but not settling as it`s far too wet, it`s been raining for most of the night and the park is nasty and boggy so the doggies took quite a lot of cleaning when we got back. As soon as the pizza dough is ready i`m off to the supermarket with Dad, i`ve managed to talk him into going to MrA this week for a change and from now on we shall alternate between MrA one week and MrM the week after, this way we get the best of both worlds. Dad was a little aprehensive at first but he will be fine once he knows where everything is. I`ve explained that by doing this we can buy the cheaper things at each store fortnightly and save some pennies here and there so he saw that it made sense in the end, also the petrol station near our MrA is the cheapest in the area atm too so even more pennies saved and it all adds up:D

The bm is beeping away so i shall get my skates on.

Have a fantastic Friday everyone

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Good Morning Everyone!
    Aussie-lass - hope you've had a great birthday!
Ha-light - another very positive post, which should give us all food for thought. As you say, in the greater scheme of things, we all have lots to be thankful for.
Am feeling loads better today - just as well as there's lots to do here! Have spent about an hour transferring books from the conservatory to the new bookshelves we've just had built in the livingroom - they've been out there since the room was decorated at the end of September! Have also walked the younger dog - very glad as the weather has turned foul since we got back indoors. Methinks the washing won't be going out then.. Ought to get the food sorted for the next few days and bake some bread. Lunch will be cheese and biscuits, supper some fish dish I think.
((HUGS)) to anyone feeling sad, worried, lonely or unwell. Have as good a day as possible folks.

  • Aussie Lass - happy birthday! I do hope you have a good one, I always look forward to your posts.

Mummysaver -:eek::eek::eek: You seem very laid back about being hit by a car, knocked unconscious and taken away in an ambulance :eek::eek: Hope you feel better soon.

    :o It's burst. Yeurk.

Dear heart has a day off today, so I hope to do some serious clearing up while he keeps an eye on little Mr Mischief little bear. Also, I think the awful bang last night might have been from next door but I need to go out and check the chimney is still there :eek:

    Hugs to all!
