Looks very much like it is all about the money to me, but that is how you come across. Things happen, things break, people get missed, sometimes with consequences. For you there were none.
The reason I suspect that many on this thread are being critical is because of the phrases you are using. Alluding to being physically sick from fright, kids being scared, 'I could have been killed' etc. The sorts of things malingerers and p*ss-takers say when they want to get some compo from somewhere after they trip over a crack in the pavement whist blind drunk.
If you were not hurt, and are genuinely not one of the hated memebers of the so-called 'compensation culture', do what the rest of us would do; be thankful and get on with you life!

Again, read the post - the OP suffered cuts.
What I don't understand is that people seem to think that if someone seeks compensation they get millions. It doesn't work like that. You have to show loss. General damages awarded in the UK are not for millions and millions of £'s. They represent a true reflection of pain and suffering.
In this case, there is unlikely to be any ongoing medical issues so damages will be low.0 -
tozer, pinkshoes I would just like to say your opinion is discusting suggesting i am just out for money and thats how i'm coming across, i don't really care what you think as you have totally missed my point, no matter what i put you will just assume i'm trying to take a company you know nothing about to the cleaners in your eyes for no reason. All i want is repair and replacement for my losses, i will carry the what could of happened around with me i don't ask for sympathy there my children and yes it was sickening what could of happened.... i suppose you don't have young children. I didn't want this to happen to anyone else it's as simple as that. There was a recall they didn't notify me is that plain enough english to understand it's the companies fault it happened not wear and tear old age or anything like that it was the brackets been found faulty and as i said earlier the company still not informed me whats happening.0

thanks after all that then i should seek compensation .....yes...( i've got a sence of humour) sorry but i seem to have upset some people saying about seeking compensation i was unaware people would be so angry at the suggestion of replacing and compensating for something thats been ruined by a companies incompentance.0

Ella do what you think best. If you were hurt due to faulty brackets then speak with the company.
Its about time people stopped getting at op . People should be able to post without having to put up with rude comments.0 -

I think you need to get a grip and read what I actually wrote. It is not "discusting" or even disgusting. You asked an opinion and I gave the legal viewpoint.
NEVER have I said to try and make some money out of it. You asked if you could sue or claim compensation, I said "yes, but not much".
Get your facts right before criticising.0 -

I think if you look, the OP has not exactly covered herself in glory in respect of rudeness.
Some people (like me!) have tried to give good faith advice and still been criticised. Very odd.0 -
