hey all, i have one of the Hoxton rooms booked for this Thursday, but am being sent to Paris for 3 days with work from Wednesday, meaning the room is going spare, is there anyway I can let someone else have the room, change the name on the booking etc, seems a shame to let it go to waste

I dont know if you can sadly.

I got a £1 room and took my boyf there for his 21st birthday at the end of Feb. The place was a dream, Hoxton is a bit of a funny place - tower block housing estate one side and posh celeb hang outs the other but I loved it. the hotel is lovely, very relaxed and the staff were amazingly friendly - its this friendliness that lead to my trying almost every cocktail off the menu (and a few that weren't) and the resulting headache the morning after! Most of the drinks were free so at least my pocket was ok The hoxton grille have a half price food offer as well if you eat before 7pm, the food was stunning.

Im hoping to get back there as soon as possible, £1 room or not!

I'm here right now as it happens! On their free wifi, lol. Hotel is great, 'spesh for a pound!

Do they ask for ID when checking-in or just the confirmation number?

Not sure of they changed since last year when they only asked for a name.

Booked the wrong month

Any other date from now until the end of year would have been fine, but I went and made the mistake for a day that DH has an exam. A very important exam. I could cry right now - I never get lucky EVER?!

Is there any way I can let someone else go instead of me? Like my Mum or something?

could you not go with a friend instead? shame to miss out! i did the exact same thing the one time i ever got a £1 room a couple of years ago - booked the wrong date and it was the date we couldn't go! I gave it away on here IIRC, but not sure if Hoxton might have got stricter on ID now

We tried several occasions, and I didnt think we had gotten a room until my OH emailed me a copy of the confirmation :j
Have to go down for a hospital app. anyway, so will be better than staying in a travel lodge!
