Cesar Milan Illusion Dog Collar

Hi all - anyone know where I can get hold of 2 of these? I'm not too keen on getting them from Ebay but the US sellers I've found don't ship to the UK.

Click here to see the collar

Thanks!

Save your money, all the illusion collar does is constantly hold a choke chain high up on the sensitive/painful part of a dog's neck. If the owner knows how to use a choke chain properly they wouldn't need an illusion collar, if they don't, they shouldn't be using one at all.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

I don't know whether these collars are good or not. What does stick im my craw though is "Don't want to get one from Ebay"

Why ever not? Ebay is a shopping portal along with many others and if you care to read properly, your purchase is fully protected as long as you pay through Paypal.
I am no longer a seller but was, a gold power seller. Only once in 15 months did I fail to ship on the order day. I Emailed my customers, most of whom repeats to let them know.
1300 100% positive feedback, arh! but only a third give feedback, so 4000 orders and not one single complaint. Even the great John Lewis Partnership would be proud of that.
So go ahead and order the collar from Ebay. This looks good, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cesar-Millan-Illusion-Collar-Lead-Dog-Training-Set-UK_W0QQitemZ110340978230QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs?hash=item110340978230&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1296%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
Pay through paypal and your purchase is as safe as buying from M&S.
Eta. I didn't sell dog collars.

Aside from anything else the biggest risk with ebay is of buying a fake, and with something like this that could potentially be very dangerous. Sadly not all sellers are as conscientious as you were.

Personally though I've had very mixed success with getting money back from paypal. They don't seem to be doing a particularly good job of protecting buyers or sellers these days.

Having tried a choke collar (on the advice of a 'trainer') I found the amount of yanking needed for my dog to stop pulling gave him a sore neck and left me with a sore hand and a nasty taste in my mouth.

I got one of these: http://www.companyofanimals.co.uk/non-pull-harness.php
and my dog now walks next to me without having my having to yank him around.
  • my mums dog was almost pulling her over every time it spotted something interesting - like a cat - a similar harness called the mikki walkrite has been brilliant for her, and it seems kind to the dog - Cleo puts her legs through the hoops cos she is so keen to go out!
  • We tried a similar harness to the Mikki Walkrite and it did not make a blind bit of difference in fact the dog pulled that much he ended up with marks on his sides. We also tried the Halti and that did not work. The Choker has not worked either, so my next step was the Illusion Collar. So if you have any tips that would be great.

My dog also goes mad when he sees other dogs, he is just under a year and was a rescue dog.
  • Why not try a harness type lead? I got one for my border collie she did pull quite a bit but now she just walks nice, you can get them at pets at home for I think I paid £8

    I hope this helps

  • please dont take advice from the dog whisperer, his method is not good! You only have to watch the dogs he deals with to see that they are very stressed by his method. look for the lip smacking, yawning, avoiding eye contact and in the worst cases completly shutting down ie learned helplessness. This is NOT "'calm submissive behaviour"" it is because the dog is so stressed it is afraid to do anything and just shuts down.Save your money and buy a anti pull harness instead.
