Found several packs of seeds in the back of a box of printer paper earlier, knew I had them, just couldn't remember where I'd put them lol! Anyway really pleased, not long till I can start them off! Will use a bit of common sense this time and store the packs with my beans and pea seeds (Roly, I have some from the plants that grew from the seeds you sent me!).

Were they the Yin and Yang ones? They make very reliable, prolific plants.
Last year wasn't very successful for me in the veg garden, don't know if it was me or the weather! Will do better this year.

In an often thoughtless world, where some do not care that words can wound, it is a pleasure to come here each day. It was heartwarming to see others take up for Sybil and Thriftlady. Not in the same manner as the poster who started it, but with politeness and respect that was sadly missing in said poster's words.

More (((((((((((((((((Gentle Hugs))))))))))))))))))) for all just because you are you.

That really depends on your point of view doesn't it? I made an insensitive post to Thriftlady due in part to me having had an horrendous day and for which I apologised. Sybil on the other hand attacked me (and yes, it was an attack) seemingly because I had upset her by trying to help and showing concern for her on a previous thread. Yet she is applauded for that. I was accused of posting insensitively when I know nothing about the poster. yet the same was not said for the words said against me by Wannabe Sybil.
I admit that my posts may be brusque but I find it difficult to convey my emotions on a screen. I am new to posting on the internet and am only finding myself doing so now after a dramatic change in my life.
I'm sorry to find myself agreeing with other MSEers who said that this thread was cliquey and I understand now why so many people only post on here for a while before stopping.
Anyway, I'm sorry for coming back but I am entitled to defend myself over this. I don't want to start a riot about this so don't expect ay responses but I needed to say my piece.

May I also just add that I too love reading your posts Halight. You are an inspiration. :T

Thanks for the explanation (((((((((Maya)))))))))) We all have off days for sure. I hope today will be a better one for you. And that your change in your life is or will be a positive one.

  • As far as I am concerned - post all you like on the Old Style thread, but do not attack others.

Go on today's thread, post about your day, post about all the housewifery, no problem.

Thank you for that. I appreciate the thought. :A

And thank you Sybil for telling me what I am allowed to post.
    :)
  • Post what you like, but if you make your first post on a daily thread a personal attack on a long time poster you are not going to get a positive reaction.

Also, not a dig because I think you are not sure, please could you post any further points on today's thread, not because I tell you you should but because two daily threads cause confusion, it is a convention. If you want to keep posting on this thread, that is fine, but it is a kindness to other posters.

I had the "pleasure" of bumping into Sean Bean while I was a nanny my first time of living in London. He was in Muswell Hill M&S on a Sunday morning in the food section with his wife at the time and 2 young kids. He was yelling ranting and raving at her cos she told off one of the kids of striking the other smaller one in a pushchair real hard.Made me go right off him.I mean he should have conducted himself better in public not least because he was on the cover of the TV Times that week. And I would in no way defend his actions, he seemed an aggressive bully and I am never shocked to see all his marriages and relationships fail if that is indicative of how he behaves.

Little bit controversial post and sorry to burst anyones bubble but then again this is what I saw with my own eyes and I tend to judge people as I find them
