Mary - how's your card making drawer - still overfull?
Sian - that's a lovely idea - re the tips -perhaps you could prepare the newly weds to the possibility of clutter eventually filling the house and ways to avoid it. Ways to overcome procrastination, doing simple chores before bed etc
Best tip I could give is to communicate with each other on every topic. As I think this is the downfall of most marriages (mine included)..
Mary, you've been very busy with those notebooks, how big are then?0 -
Angela - ummm............card drawer still a bit on the explosive side - not sorted it all out yet.........but I will.........honest.
The books I've covered are about A5 size.........nothing special. Just always takes me an age to do anything.............lol
Did intend doing a shoebox as well but hadn't got enough material and to be honest I'd had enough by then, plus OH was making noises about stuff in the garden so I had to show some sort of effort and get blown to bits in the process..............lol
sian - on the happy marriage theme - don't forget 'a sense of humour and the ability to laugh at yourself as well as each other'.......plus an awful lot of 'give and take'Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hi ladies,
I trust I find you all busy crafting. I haven't been around in ages, hope you still remember me. After my holiday I had to force myself to keep off the computer because I just wasn't getting anything done. It's lovely here but it can also be very distracting, I found I was just looking at everyone's brilliant crafts that they'd made and not actually making anything of my own.
I made these gift sets for two special little 'virtual' friends a girl of 2 and a boy of 6. Their mum sent me a fantastic photo of them being used which was so special and so lovely to see.
acetate crochet bags (The handles were too long, I'll remember that for next time)
Plastic canvas colouring books.
Treat bags
covered pencils and crayons.
They were really appreciated and I loved doing them. It's the first time I tried plastic canvas and it wasn't as neat on the back as I'd of liked but I can only get better at it. LOL
Sorry it's sooo many pics. Thanks for looking and hope you like them too.0 -

Thank you very much ladies. It was brilliant to have 2 little virtual friends because otherwise I wouldn't have had chance to make them. I can't just make things and put them in a drawer and it's lovely to know they're being used and appreciated. My two 'kids' are nearly 22 and 18 so you can imagine I very rarely craft anything for them now. (Mmmmm! still have such a loooooong time to wait for grand children too)LOLrufusd!!!2 wrote: »They are all lovely Soblivion I like the bags best. What did you use to make them?
Thanks rufus, I printed 2 pics from the internet, sandwiched each pic between 2 pieces of acetate. Then used my pink cropadile(I just love it) to punch holes all the way around and then crochet'd into the holes. I crochet'd a band to make the depth of the bag and even managed to put a zip in too and then just single crochet the parts together and added a handle using 2 silver rings.0
