I was wondering if anyone can help me out .... ?
I`m wanting to knit some little sitting chickens for gifts for people and wondered if anyone had the Rowan knitting pattern from The Rowan Organic Childrens collection.
These sitting chickens are so cute - I first saw them made up in John Lewis and would love to have a go but can`t seem to find the pattern for them.
If anyone has the pattern and wouldn`t mind sharing it I would be most grateful.

The presents sound lovely Hayley and I love the idea of the card books. You could maybe add details of your son's favourite school trip, memories, lesson, game/activity, hymn/song. Could he maybe make up a rhyme or poem about each of his teachers and how about including a drawing he could do of an apple?!
I was in Hobbycraft today and they have 20% off on all Really Useful Boxes. I got one for my glitters, one for my glues, pens, stickers and embelishements, cards, papers, etc. I feel much more organised and like I have a better of idea of what is where now and I think I'm more likely to craft!
They have a great deal on a set of 10 patterned edged scissors for £1.99 (each pair cuts paper differently if you know what I mean).0 -
Hello all,
I have finally worked out how to put photos on to photobucket and I am hoping, then on to here.
Here are a couple of pictures of a gold themed hamper I made for my Aunt for her birthday.
I included; a house book from M&S that was reduced to £3.50, a shortbread scented candle, a mini toblerone that was 25p, a luxury body puff from the Body Shop that was about £2, a mini hairbrush, a gold nile file that was £1, a small wooden mirror, a gold make up brush set from Poundland, a pedicure set, a Santuary set, a free coffee sachet and quite a few other bits that I can't remember! I also sprinkled it with Werthers orginial sweets to match the gold theme. I'm really pleased with it and I can't wait to give it to her. I must thank my mum who contributed to the items, she helped me keep the cellophane under control and she also made the ribbon all curly for me!
Here goes with trying to post the photos...
I have a few photos of cards I have made, can I post them here or is there a card thread?

Thank you Sian.
I don't know how to change the size of these ones that I have already put on photobucket but I will try to make any others smaller so they don't take up so much room.
I am a complete novice, I don't have any experience of making cards but reading this thread and going back and reading the Christmas 2008 thread has inspired me.
This is one I made for an Aunt's birthday, the card and flower were part of a set that was reduced in Smiths and the picture is a piece of left over wrapping paper.
This one below I made my Nan for her birthday. Green is her favourite colour and I didn't want to make it too busy so I looked through my flower embellishments and kept it simple.
This is one I made for another Aunt's birthday, she loves chocolate. I used some left over wrapping paper, a chipboard 'S' (for Sue) that I coloured gold and a chipboard in the bottom corner that says chocolates.
I have some others that I have made, I will post those too and will try and make them smaller.

Thank you Sian.
I am hoping that these ones will be smaller photos.
This first one is left over wrapping paper and a gold star raised slightly on the top.
This one is left over wrapping paper and gem stones from a pound shop.
I would like to sell these ones if possible...
On the back of the ones it would be nice to sell, I have put a 'handmade' label on.

Thank you Mary! It is thanks to all of you here for inspiring me to craft and I absolutely love making hampers. I am collecting jars for gifts in a jar and I would like to learn to sew properly.

A quick google reveals a knitting forum in Sheffield where a poster called 'knitbird' says she is currently knitting this pattern. There are also other suggestions for chicken knitting patterns there, too :

Hope that helps!0
