Remember the Dammit Dolls from the 'crafty for christmas 2009' thread

I made one from the second link.............the very basic one, so easy even I could do it................lol
Gave it to my son in his shoebox of birthday bits the other week, complete with dreadlocks on account of his own hair..............he was thrilled to bits with it.
So, that gives me the green light to go make some more............:j

So well done mary, I wouldn't know where to start with one of those. Who is your next one going to be for?

I'm talking myself into doing a craft fair in August so need to get my thinking cap on about what to make to sell. Feeling nervous about it and it's only April

    Good work Mary :)
I have managed to finish the sock monkey for my nephew's birthday next week, he is made from a man's sock and I don't think the proportions are quite as good, I'd like to make some mini-monkeys but all the socks I can find are either really boring colours for boys or have characters on so would have the design upside down.
I am a bit sock monkey obsessed now though :)

rainmac - honest, dammit dolls are so easy -they have to be for me to do them - mind you I did use the second link - much simpler than the first..............lol Next one is for grandson for christmas I think.........:j

    candy -thanks for the links

If any of you go over to the Freebie Board there's a thread for free curtain samples..........you can have 6............ordered mine. Be handy for cards and a few other bits I think

sian - sock monkey is way beyond my capabilities I'm afraid. I love them but just can't master them

    Hello everyone,

I have stumbled across a site whilst looking for something else, it has so many crafting ideas, it's amazing. It says the makes are for children to do but I don't see the problem in us making them and I don't know about anyone else but I need simple to follow instructions and I don't have the technical ability to make anything difficult!

I have tried to post the link but it says as I am a new user I can't in order to stop spammers clogging up the site, even though I've posted links before?! The site is i love india.com / homemade-crafts (all one word) but be warned, you may get lost in the site for ages like I did! If you click on each topic heading it takes you to even more ideas!

I would post the link but it won't let me, ggrrrhh! The company is natural curtain company.co.uk/samples

Lucy - if you look on the Freebie Board and type 'fabric samples' in the search box there's a couple more.
I ordered from them and got them fairly quickly.
