sian - I love 'em too .............we've got five -not huge ones but big enough for me and I normally manage to find something, Got to get my skates on for a birthday pressie 4th Feb  Bloke whos hard to buy for -even his wife hasn''t a clue what to get him............might give her a ring at the weekend a see if she's had any ideas.
He had bits of nonsense and a retro sweet box at christmas so I feel I ought to get him something he might need this time.

sethsgran - I love those dolls. I emailed AKTraditions last week to see if the sell the patterns as a download but didn't even get a reply. Went to a creative crafts and stitching show last week hoping to see them but I was disappointed again. Just seems a waste having to have a kit posted half way round the world.

Sorry you didn't have any success with your email to AK traditions I was fortunate to receive a reply within 24hrs. Check your pm for a contact email address

I made this felt heart for OH as part of his Valentine's pressie...

    IMGP3007.jpg

I found a heart shape in Word and enlarged it to the size I wanted, printed and cut it out and then used that to cut two pieces of red felt. I used some wadding sandwiched in-between the two pieces and blanket-stitched round the edge and added a piece of ribbon to hang it. What do you think? It is my first attempt at anything like this so I'm quite happy with it but can see flaws with my stitching in the pic - will try and improve so I can make some felt Xmas tree decs this year ;)

Exactly what I was just thinking! Everything you do rainmac seems to turn out perfectly - cards, scrapbooking, sewing, nappy cakes (what have I missed?).

Particularly liked the nappy cake x

Loads and loads of stuff I can't do - where shall I start. I obviously donlt post any of my muck ups on here but rest assured there are plenty :p

I didn't know how to blanket stitch but found this via google and found out it's dead easy...

I wanted chunky stitching so used 6 strands of embroidery thread.

We've all seen your door hangers now so we know what a fab crafter you are. I thought of trying a heart as I'd bought red and green felt from Hobbycraft and never got round to making the Xmas tree decorations I wanted to.
