Sian I love everything you made but my favourites are the shadow box (it's beautiful and thoughtful) and the softies you made are just fab.

sian - how big are those little soft shaped things ? Hadn't thought of them for cars or keyrings.
Oh I am daft.............expect they can be as big or small as you want them to be:rotfl: Stupid me !!

I love this idea too, sympathy dolls ,the sympathy doll idea is to make a doll that is so sad and pathetic that it inspires empathy and love from people. You really can't feel too bad around these dolls because you just know that no matter what, you don't have it that bad! They do not have to be made as animals they could be based on the Dammit dolls and I was thinking they would be good for Teenagers and all their associated troubles and woes......

Maybe with a rhyme something like this:

When you are lonely, frightened or sad,
If you feel different, neglected or mad,
If you feel you deserved more than you had,
No matter what you don't have it this bad!
Yell at me scream at me give it a go
Tell me the secret you want noone to know
I am the friend when you feel really low
Who if you must, you can throw!
I made this up on the spur of the moment, probably needs tweaking but you get the idea.

    This is just brilliant! :T
    Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...
  • So has anyone wangled a snow day today? I had to abandon my car and walk 2 miles home last night and then walk 2 miles to get it today but I am in work! Yey... Had so many ideas of stuff to do, assemble and decorate gingerbread house, do some baking, sock monkey making, snowman making. If only work didn't interfere with all the crafting!

  • I really wanted to claim a snow day but as I live with two people who work at the same place I couldn't get away with it, grrrr!!!!
I want to buy some felt and make some of those gorgeous creations, does anyone have any suggestions for where to get cheap felt? My craft shop charges the earth!

  • I'm at work too! Did manage to leave an hour early last night so had a fabulous evening curled up on the sofa with my knitting. Finishing at 4 o'clock today, so a repeat performance me thinks x

Nothing exciting but just wanted to share these. It's for hubbies birthday, he's had his present already but just wanted to do something extra. 2 of everything because if I miss my son out he'll tell anyone who'll listen that he's an unloved and neglected child.

Galaxy bar, I took the paper wrapping off, left the foil on and recovered.
