  • I use this site all the time to get an idea of what the going rate is for the quantity I want and then I get my usual supplier to pricematch.

Btw, in the past I always used Knockbracken Fuels, as I always found them to be keen on price and reliable. However, for a long time now, they have been one of the dearest and so I haven't bought oil from them in over 18 months. Anyone else have the same experience?

I used to buy from Knockbracken Fuels all the time. I'd ring around, get the best price and they would match it. Then one time I called and they refused to match the price. The woman was quite rude so I said fair enough and have never bought from them again.

Rang Nicholl Oils today, they're quoting around £300 for 500 litres online, told them I could get it elsewhere for £283 and got it for less and with no card charge. Pays to phone around.

You can afford to dither a little I reckon. Oil has been falling recently. It's very low today (92 dollars a barrel), but has been moving steadily downwards for the last two months. Keep an eye on things. It should get cheaper as the weeks pass.
