 to everyone who has had theirs, I sent mine off and called about 10 days ago to be told I definately didn't recieve it but that I had to wait until 10th April before calling back (have noticed someone in Essex had same response and I am Kent so am guessings SE is quite delayed!).

Keeping fingers very crossed for this as could really use it!! Part of me is worried that I might get the 'we didn't recieve your claim' but am keeping fingers and toes crossed! Not looking forward to 10 hours on hold come the 10th if I haven't heard anything

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

rung my local tax office yesterday as I still hadn't heard anything and I sent my form in December and a lovely lady told me that the I was one of the lucky ones and a payment had been authorised yesterday and I should receive it in the next 7 - 10 days but she couldn't tell me for how much.

After this phone call I waited 10days and received nothing so rung again to be told that for some reason the system had put a hold on it which had now been released and so I would hear soon, still nothing by the 31st March so rung again to be told that further investigation by themselves had found that my husband had claimed it in his pay at the time. In February 2001 my husband (and father of my kids) and I split up and divorce came through July 2002 so I was a single parent at the time. I explained this to them on the phone on 31st and they said I could appeal, but, my ex and I get on well and I don't want to rock the boat for him with the tax office so I decided to give up.
But I've been thinking since , I didn't give any of my then husbands details when I applied for this so how do they Know all his details plus I have since remarried in 2006 so have they looked into my present husbands details (he was then married and liviing with his ex and their kids).
However, just to confuse the situation even more I received a cheque on Saturday morning for £600 which was issued on the 31st March which was the same day they told me I wasn't entitled to anything.
    Any ideas???
  • Today my Hubby received a cheque through the post for £602.44
