    lazyfox it's not a refund. The majority of people automatically received it in tax year 2002/2003, so the chances are you have already had it. Assuming neither of your were self assessment, check the P60s for both parents in that tax year, if one of them ends something like 702H then you had it when you were supposed to.

    Cheque for 601 received today. Really pleased as I only sent application the day before the deadline and thought I had missed the boat.

    Hi Ya, I recieved a letter in the post to say that £137.52 was been sent to HM Revenue and Customs office. Then I got another letter to say that £137.52 was used to pay off Tax that my OH owed and my balance was Nil. Could this be right? Its funny that the exact same amunt was owed as was due.
