Still waiting here. Form sent off 20th Jan,not heard anything..then this morning OH got a letter saying his tax code has now changed..from 54L I think to 64L ..he seems to think that as the amount he can earn without being taxed has been risen that means no cheque for us..that this is the way they are repaying us? Anyone know??love my little man he is amazing :j0

Are you sure it has gone from 54L to 64L??? Yes it is the amount he can earn without being taxed but most people are on £604L meaning they can earn over £6000 before paying tax. 504L was last years basic tax code, this year started at 543L and was changed in September to £604L. I have no idea what is going on your with your husbands tax code, even if you missed a 0 out of the middle it looks like his employer has not been passing on the code changes when they should have.
The code will change again at the start of the new tax year, I think he needs to check if he is due a refund.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the 2002/2003 tax credit which was paid through the code at the time. It is not being to paid to those missed out at the time in this way.0 -

This is a coding notice for 2009/10 that he has received.
