Can you claim Children's Tax Credit from 2002/3?

Does anyone know where i should call, my friend and i sent off forms the same time, she has a letter about five weeks ago saying she had already had it but i have heard nothing? I sent my form to the one on the inland revenue website. x

my friend had sent hers on the same day as me to the same office, she received her letter weeks ago to say she had already received hers, another person i know heard they weren't entitled weeks ago aswell, i received mine today, so hopefully no news is good news for you as it was for me!!

Call local tax office which you can find on hmrc website, hubby did this the other day and said he should know by 10th April but if he hasnt by then call them back

Yup called them, they said there is nothing showing and to wait until 10th april xx

Can anyone clarify - is the extra payment for having a baby in 2002/03 pro-rata or do you just get it? My daughter was born Jan '03, have spoken to HMRC who say that we are entitled and a letter will be coming in the post but couldn't tell us the amount.

Well our children(twins) were born in Jan 03 and we got the full amount
We also had an older son too who was then just turned 3.
