So many thanks to OP Wendy - received chaeque today for £601 which included £73 repayment suppement I wasn't expecting. I can now go to Cornwall for a week in easter with the family for what feels like free having now used tesco clubcard vouchers to book a few days out as well - thank you soooooooooooo much - I posted my form on around 20th January to Edinburgh :beer:0 -
I sent me form in January '09 (delivered 20th - recorded delivery) to the Leeds tax office have heard nothing!!
So got the hubby to call the other day, guy on the end of the phone no help, nothing on our file not interested!! I am almost positive we didn't receive this, have checked our old P60's, its just sooo frustrating.0 -
Me too, no one helpful, I sent me form back in jan to a bedford address where they tax office said was sorting them out, It is now 11 march and not heard a thing, we definatley didnt get it, I am quite annoyed as if the governement had told us we were entitled to it then we would have had more time to claim, I claimed early jan and still not heard.
Does anyone have a phone number that may be able to help? They may have more info on my records?
Thx0 -

Hi everyone, we had our letter today and we have apparently had the allowance already. Never mind, I was looking forward to a nice little lump sum. Best of luck to everyone else. I am sure you will all hear very soon as we put ours in on the 30th January.0

Applied for ctc 2002/03,and recieved a letter this morning with a cheque for £41.56.
It says at the top of the letter...I am pleased to telll you that you are due a repayment of income tax for the yr shown above.
Below this is another statement as follows...This calculation has been isssued following your claim for ctc.
the overpayment has arisen because you did not recieve the ctc through your 2002/03 tax code.
this has resulted in a repayment of the tax you paid for this time.
Now have I had the ctc or not?
I recieve my ctc through my bank account on fri,so if I was due this would it be paid directly into the bank account?
what is a repayment supplement?
thankyou.x0 -
Did not hold out much hope of getting this, sent my form in last minute on 28th January to Bootle office. Surprise, surprise a cheque waiting for me when I arrived home from work for £601.44 :j
My old banger is on its last legs and as things are very tight at the moment I am overjoyed.
Don't give up hope if you are still waiting heartfelt thanks to the OP :beer:0
