    Just checked,
    From HERE

    it says

" It was tapered away at the rate of £2 of Children's Tax Credit for £3 of income that exceeded the basic rate income tax threshold (£29,900). So the higher your income the less Children's Tax Credit became due."

Thanks very much MSE Wendy. Once again MSE produces the goods: my other half put in a claim after I read about the error and £601.44 arrived yesterday.

I got my cheque yesterday for around £1100. :j So chuffed - it's well needed at the moment. Thanks so much to the OP.:A

Out of interest of someone was on benefits, i.e. not working at the time would they get it? Asking on behalf of someone else I told about it.

No, because its a tax relief on earned income.

Has anyone claimed this and said they wanted it split between you? We received a cheque for my hubby for £250 but nothing for myself as yet. as it arrived a week ago Im wondering if there is a delay or whether that is all we were entitled to?
