Hi could I check with someone who would know more than me.In 2002-2003 I was working part-time not sure if i was earning enough to pay tax, all i know is I received working tax credit as well.I was on maternity pay for part of that as son was born april 2002.Have sent a form in but now I am wondering would I even get it if I wasn't earning enough.Anyone any idea??
  • Hi, has anyone got a downloaded form they could send me for this? It is just I sent mine in December recorded delivery and they have lost it. They said that if I fax them a copy they will still honor it but I can't find the copy!

The form is now not available for download as the deadline has past.

    Thank you, Jo
  • hi,

really nice to hear most of you are receiving your money.
im wondering if anyone can advise me as im a bit confused by all this.

my son was born 1994 so i qualify on that basis, i was working full time in 2002/03 and was living with an ex partner, he was not my sons father, and therefore child benefit was paid to me and even though we lived together i paid for anything to do with my son, i always have, his own father has never paid for him and so i don't feel its fair anyone else should accept me.

we both earnt about the same, i sent a letter at the end of january, id called the tax office and it was confirmed that i hadnt received it, but im worried he will get it which i don't see as fair seen as he wasnt his father.

ive tried to see if anyone else is in my situation but everyone else was married or living with the childs father, so im no wiser!

i called for an update yesterday and the lady at the tax office said my details didnt match? but they did a couple of weeks ago- weird?! anyway said i had to send a letter for any further information as she couldnt discuss my information, was she fobbing me off?

anyway any advice would be helpful, hope many more of you get your money ok, incl me! need to pay debts off!! lol

I just got a letter asking for my employment details even though i told them it was my partner who earned the salary. Would I have to be working too?
  • No you wouldn't need to be working too. I expect that they just need to check both people's records. People forget what they did when & get years muddled up.
