It is your own fault for sending it six years late. You had since 6 April 2002 but you left it until 2009 along with most other people so that's why your claim form hasn't been logged as received. Add to this the people who claimed it at the time but sent a claim form anyway.0 -

Bobs yes, on the other threads about this subject, not sure, but I think there are four threads, might be more. There is some on here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1191059&page=2
They are still working their way though them all you will have to be patient. They won't be able to tell you if they recieved it or not as there are crates & crates of them.0 -

How were we meant to know about this six years ago? I don't get why we have to claim this anyway. We have been given the wrong tax code by Inland revenue they should have corrected this themselves long ago.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

I think it depends on who you speak to. I called them to find out if they had received mine and was told they weren't able to tell me, so I called back 15 minutes later and was told when they had received it and what stage they were up to with it. One thing I didn't understand was when they told me that I am entitled to this but they cannot tell me the amount over the telephone, or at least until it has been posted out.2014 Challenge...

Because it was advertised. The Inland Revenue didn't know you had children. One thing I didn't understand was when they told me that I am entitled to this but they cannot tell me the amount over the telephone, or at least until it has been posted out.
They can't tell you the amount over the telephone because it's not a direct payment. They have to do an assessment/tax calculation. And then if there's an underpayment in a later year, they'll take this away from the amount you get.0
