It would only take a member of staff the same period of time it takes ourselves to look for them! and if they knew what they were looking for it wouldn't take any time at all

    Will

whilst i see your point, whilst the staff were going around the store checking every line that is mentioned either on here, the misprices thread and the cpjackson site, someone would have to be doing the checkers duties. Add to that the time taken to walk around an extra store and all of a sudden you have a full time job.

Also, how many R&R seekers are here compared to my 6 staff.....and i have a rather overstaffed department!!!!!

You also have to factor in the fact that MOST misprices are individual to each store. The meat and books are glaringly obvious examples of this being false but other lines are pretty much local errors.

If you are a regular at Cannon Park, then the CS staff there are very "helpful" in this way, aren't they? Bless em, they probably think they're in danger of losing their jobs if they take advantage, but don't begrudge another!

If I can find some JD R+R, I'll swap for your stella!

nope not cannon park infact i aint a clue where that is!
i wont name names but the cs involved in the stella incident did have the balls as her words to me when looking at sel were"im just wondering how i can get some before i remove the sel" i answered with "i will get you one if you want",her reply "get another 4 then before i get back to the cs desk!! :rotfl: :rotfl: she even helped me to the car with them

you find jd on r&r and ill be your friend for life! and prewarning for mr t,i will be emptying the shelves

 I was just in my local tesco store in redcar and i Was very disappointed i did not find one single mis price. They had no dysons at all or friends series 10 collection or the finding nemo dvd. The coke, computer games, valentine mugs and wine are now all correctly priced. Anyone who spots a mis price at the redcar tesco let me know - they seem pretty on the ball there unfortunatly.

Eventually got this sorted and wanted R+R, I got tod. most customers prefer just the difference. I wanted the R+R and the girl wouldn't do it saying I should have noticed on the till. I told her I was miles away at the time.

Anyway after about 30 mins of waiting for a manager who wouldn;t come I eventually got R+R but told it wouldn't be under guarantee as I'd not paid for product, tried to explain about my statutory rights but she was having none of it. Stupid woman. Anyway I gave up and kept the game but I was raging at being accused of theft.

    Scumbags

I see that some Tesco staff who read these comments have defended their 'team'. I applaud that and am sure they do their best for the customer. What I do not get is that on the vast majority of posts, when the customer is overcharged they are first fobbed off with a 'take the difference' offer. This is unacceptable. Tesco are a big company, customer service should be of the highest standard - yet it is not. The checkouts at my store are manky, staff look scrubby and staff also moan about lack of support from their managers. I know we all have a choice, but because Mr T has closed every competitor down for some there is no choice.

    Hi spa2k

As a matter of interest how many r&r'ers do you deal with each day in your store?

Are they regulars or accidental mispriceders?

Do you always give r&r or try to fob them off with difference first - lets be honest about 75% ( in my limited experience ) of CS usually try that first?

Has your store ever banned anyone for persistent r&r?

You've said in the past that these are misprices, today I bought 2 Chinese Take Away bags £ 5.70 each, they both carried a very large "Buy 2 for £10" printed logo right across the bag. I was charged £11.40. Was this an overcharge or a misprice.

I contend that Tesco's overcharged me and if they follow this forum at HO, I suggest they did it knowingly, as it was posted on here earlier.

Hope you don't mind me asking these it's fascinating to hear a different perspective, thanks.
  • Forgot to mention this

Brother in law knows i'm a fan of r+r, he can't be doing with it himself, however he does shop at his local Mr Ts. Baguley.

Now he came to visit me on tuesday saying that he had just been in his local store and the TV people were filming r+r using actors with shopping trolleys and real cs staff.

Don't know if he was taking the mick, and as I don't watch much telly, has anyone any knowledge of this.

Btw Rolo eggs 3 for 90odd pence scanning wrong at chorley yesterday, didn't bother myself. Also all scanners are out of order, even the staff were complaining as they couldn't price check!

    Hi,

Message to GoodToTalk, I also live near Abingdon so go to the big Tesco Extra here.

I presume you go to the Cowley store (near Next, Burger King etc).

Would be happy to join in partnerships posting missprices!!

hi Markee.no problem to join in partnerships with u to post missprices.

i was in cowley tesco couple of days ago, where i saw a hand blender, tesco value hoover, kettle and toaster all were mispriced.i didnt try on any of them as i had no use of these items.
maybe you could make do with any of them?if you can give it a try.
    thanksssssss ;)
  • How do you all notice all the misprices? Is it mainly the labelled things that you then take to scan?

Strange question.......should your R+R be affected if you pay by cheque. I bought some DVDs and was overcharged before but was told I could only get the difference as I'd paid by cheque. Surely this isn't right!?!
