LilacLillie wrote:I was charged £4.95 for the 24 cans of coke yesterday. I'd bought 2 cases and noticed the £4.75 SEL.
Went to CS where 3 assistants busied themselves with my business but not my complaint!
None of them addressed me, just each other. One went off 'to check' SEL, came back almost 15mins later, and said 'yeah, that's the price'............meaning the £4.95. She wouldn't scan my packs and said there wasn't anything they could do.
My husband in the meantime was really moaning............at me!!!
I asked for head office tele number and to use the phone. They looked for it but unfortunately didn't have it.
All 3 walked off leaving me standing like a lemon.
Rang head office today and they listed it as an official complaint and said the store manager will deal with it. They also said the price should have been £4.75. I refused to give my tele number and said I wan't anything they have to say in writing.
Not happy at all. So much for CS!

:rotfl: I know this would happen with my boyf!
I wouldn't be happy with that either, I'd speak with H/O again and mention their policy, t/s.. maybe that will get them to re think their reply.
Very poor :rolleyes:The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

Before I get back on to HO, can someone please confirm that the positioning of the SEL is irrelevant if they are advertising a product at a lower price. i.e - sorry madam but although it says peanut butter there on the SEL, the label actually relates to that pot of jam next to it. IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE LABEL THAT ITS PEANUT BUTTER, SAME BAR CODE THE LOT. They are saying the SEL is in the wrong place (it was no more than 2 inches away from the product!)
We're not talking peanut butter and jam here but husband has made me mega paranoid that the shop in question is lurking on here waiting for me to post
Once its sorted will come back and explain myself!0 -

SEL at eye level displayed £69.92 (which it scanned through at), but there was a lower price SEL of £59.92 higher up.
Scanning at £64.92 this morning - same as SEL. Of course if you can find SEL showing £59.92 you'll still be on for an R&R.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515
MFW 2014 #41 = £26,100/£25,000
MFW 2013 #41 = £10,000/£10,000
Original MF date = May 2036 - MF achieved on 15 June 20150 -

Sounds like an extremely desperate attempt to wriggle out of their own overcharge policy to me! My opinion would be that the policy should certainly apply.0 -

This was in my local little Tesco, and as I shop there so often and the staff are generally very pleasant, I never look for overcharges in there, though they often hit me in the eye anyway - I just grit my teeth and move on! This is the second time I've been overcharged recently without expecting it. On both occasions I've been offerred the difference but they've caved in immediately I point out the policy, so my guess is the manager has told them to do this.
Also there was a slight delay before they processed it, and in the meantime another assisstant had run to the display and removed the SEL, so by the time we explained what had happened there was no evidence!!!! Stood our ground though.
Would you let us know which make and pack weight as we love cashews?0 -

Why not have a scout round the store, and find as many misplaced labels as possible?. Then go back upto the CS feeding you this dribble, and exaplain you want R+R on all those products you just bought at the higher prices than the SEL's state.
If she thinks it doesnt matter what the label says, but the actual position of the SEL on the shelf, you will have a field day because supermarket gap fill left right and centre! :rotfl:
They couldnt really argue with that could they..0 -
This was an old offer at Express on Tesco/Wholefood Cashew Nuts that you would find in the produce section. Signs should have been removed Tuesday night.0
