i did put this on the price one accidently!
Keane and U2 cd's were playing on the Tv at the poole branch and they were shown as being 5.97 so whilst most branches have ripped the stickers of if u check it is still being advertised as 5.97 and should scan through at 8.97.
there was also one other cd but i wasn't sure what it was and didn't get it

They were packed on 3 shelves, with 2 of them having an SEL £69.92. The top shelf had a SEL of £59.92.
Scanned at £69.92 nice R&R thank you all posters
What if in 6 weeks time it would not work as it had developed a fault. If I took it back and this was no longer a stock item, would I get a full refund of £69.92?
On the recipt it would have been noted that you had a refund and items were kept by yourself for free. If you are implying as i think you are that you would wish to attempt and take a hifi back and recive a further refund of £69.92 then i would say you are bordering on a criminal offence. Try looking under the theft act in particular a deception of obtaining a pecuniary advantage.
My advice, Dont try it.
There seems to be layers (lawyers)coming out of the woodwork on here the last few days what do you guys think.
Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
P.S forgot to mention i managed to obtain 2 more technika Hifi systems. They will make great little presents.
Also 2 more packs of 24 coke, R&r obtained on behalf of my partner who was given the 40p overcharge difference. After a heated conversation with customer services full R&R given and an apology. Winner.

2 Legs of lamb today big yellow sel sel £5.99 ticket £6.28? OH's birthday so a treat. Trotted of to CS where a lovely lady said she would have to ring for the meat manager. We both waited and waited [ I felt really sorry for her as she was just finishing her shift and no one would answer the phone] Eventually a bod in supervisor mode wandered past so she grabbed him. Oh so and so will not answer as he is in the canteen what is the problem. He then wandered of with my meat and sel to look for someone, who magically appeared just as he was out of sight. Had now been waiting over 20mins and told CS lady to claim overtime bless her. Both bods returned with another guy who had same sense of humour as me but controlled his urge to giggle heroically, supervisor type then said casually, wait for it 'COULD I JUST HAVE YOUR OTHER LEG OF LAMB SO WE CAN MARK THE PRICE DOWN FOR YOU' wont print my reply but it was said in a very polite but concise manner, about just whom now owned said meat and that they shoud have sold it for lower price in the first place, not try to regain possesion and lower price once I had bought it. Pointed to BIG NOTICE I can't give free meat he said. Oh but you can quite happily overcharge cant you I replied. They then phoned said manager in canteen who said it was our fault give R&R. All this took 40mins 4 members of staff, and a NannC in Churchill mode [never give in] just because said manager would not answer phone to authorise refund.0

In recent months I scribble the price of an item next to the shopping list as I put it in the basket, and check the noted prices against the receipt before returning home.
I thought about doing this last time I went to Tesco.. but forgot! It's a good idea though.
I never ever check my receipts. I'll start doing so after reading this thread!
I may try an R&R (What does this stand for btw, am I being a little daft? ) and I won't back down, I'll probably check five times before actually going to CS :rotfl: Although if I have any problems with them refusing my partner will get embarrassed and want to leave the store sooo does anyone have a store policy letter/email?
I know you've all mentioned the signs but just for extra confirmation of their own store's policy would be good.. Should I just email them about it?
This is an excellent thread, thanks all:T
The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

!
I don't think that they'd be off the hook if they offered the difference. Under various regulations covering advertising, I reckon they'd be firmly under the cosh if they failed to abide by a clearly advertised policy. This matter could be dealt with via the ASA or TS. The only issue as we all know is that they are cautious to the extreme of doing something about Mr T's shoddy work practices.
To Fluff, I can't believe there behaviour on your incident, it defies belief, if it wasn't for the fact I know exactly what Mr T's are like to get out of R&R, but even for Mr T's assault may be a little heavy handed, well IMO.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.0 -
I was charged £4.95 for the 24 cans of coke yesterday. I'd bought 2 cases and noticed the £4.75 SEL.
Went to CS where 3 assistants busied themselves with my business but not my complaint!
None of them addressed me, just each other. One went off 'to check' SEL, came back almost 15mins later, and said 'yeah, that's the price'............meaning the £4.95. She wouldn't scan my packs and said there wasn't anything they could do.
My husband in the meantime was really moaning............at me!!!
I asked for head office tele number and to use the phone. They looked for it but unfortunately didn't have it.
All 3 walked off leaving me standing like a lemon.
Rang head office today and they listed it as an official complaint and said the store manager will deal with it. They also said the price should have been £4.75. I refused to give my tele number and said I wan't anything they have to say in writing.
Not happy at all. So much for CS!

I had a good night tonight, I wanted to buy a few PSP games taking advantage of the 20% off I had seen them today in other stores for £29.97 and in other stores £32.97 I decided to buy them locally so I went out tonight Middlebrook store had them at £32.97 so went to another store where they didnt have them but I noticed the Keane album so R+R 1 £8.97 I also gota few things for my sister.
store 3 they had 1 game so I bought that and the 20% was taken off correctly unfortunatly no R+R I went to CS asking if they had the other 2 games I wanted she checked and it showed 7 in stock and a supervisor woud find me a copy so I returned to the games section and saw the Nintendo DS Pac pix for £24.94 stickered looked at the one at the back bingo £19.94 so I bought that becasue the person never came back and got an R+R no problems I didnt even have to ask about it at either store.
so I came home with £57.89 worth of stuff for £23.97 I love r+r searching its my new hobby I have been to 7 different stores today while comming home from work in Bridlington0
