Surely 49.94 is under £50 so why would you get £10 off? Am I being stupid?

The £10 off offer is on the front and tehre are a further selection of phones on the reverse.

The Motorola V171 is pictured with a £39.97 price underneath it. seperate from the £10 offer.

Today, Motorola V171 from Northallerton T, refunded after a little fuss, nice CS. Not sure if the leaflets were removed.

This is the 2nd time of posting this, my other one has been removed for some reason I can't fathom.

sadly at Cardiff Western ave tescos they refused to give me R &R on the Motorola V171, on the basis that the leaflet was not the SEL or a price on the product. I had a 1/2 hour argument with the (rather ugly looking) managers who refused to budge. They kept saying they did not have to honour it as the leaflet was not the price but a misprint offer that they could withdraw at any time.

I asked them to ring head office, but it was closed (6.30pm). I kept the phone and said I'd go back tomorrow when Head office (Dundee customer services) was open.

Any advice on how to progress, or how likely head office will tell local Tesco to give me R&R?

Went to St Rollox store ar,ed with list of mispriced Ds & PS2 games. Theie in store scanner dont work, so got the lady at the clothes till to scan they came up at £14.97, and the PS2 games - which were in a large section marked PS2 Games £7.97 ( not from £7.97) so took them all and paid for them - the DS games came up at the right price even though they scanned at higher price at other till - PS 2 gaes at higher price too - Tookt hem to CS so point out price discrepancy - manager was called ut he refused to R&R, as it was the sign that was not correct! Told him we were not happy and would just return everything - He was quite nippy - Will need to email I think - How do we stand on these matters - he said the PS2 games had the correct price tag on them even though the securtiy tag sticker was over the top of all the price tags!!!!

  • had a bit of a fuss at Tesco Altrincham when i went for my money back on my motorola v171 purchased last night.
manager said there was nothing he could do cos the leaflets were 'removed yesterday morning, so i don't know how you got hold of that' (!!!!!)
i picked up the bloody thing the same time i picked up the damn phone! and that was at 5.47! stupid man.
so i got on the phone to head office, who were taking manager's side. so eventually, to cut a long story short, they gave in, admitted a fault with their pricing system (after trying to say the leaflet had expired - note date 19th feb!), and gave full R&R.

1/2 hour wasted, but ever so chuffed.

Tesco Meir refused R and R on phone (my first attempt at R an R). Said I could have refund and pick cheaper phone.I said I thought it was ver misleading and having been kept waiting for 20 mins, Manager said on this occasion they would honour leaflet and give me £10 refund. Pointed out policy and she said price not on product or shelf so didn't count. Gave up and had full refund and no phone. Thought about phoning customer services but now have no receipt so no proof.

    June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24
