Hilstep - I had a similar issue with Natwest, they applied charges to a dormant account - that I had tried to close six years previously. Seems like their sales person was on commission to change as many accounts as she could to these ones where you get charged £6 a month to insure mobile phone/pets/random realtives and had changed this account over. Cue me getting a letter saying I owed nearly £500 in charges. I lost my temper a bit but they did sort it out eventually. I know it's worrying, but they will sort it out.
Almo - I did silversmithing at night school and really loved it. Never tried book binding though it sounds like great fun!
I'm at work and shattered already and seem unable to get my head round a fairly simple calculation. This does not look good for me getting home on timeOH is going to the solicitors tommorrow and it's worrying me so I'm not concentrating. I put my foot down over the whole mess last night now I'm getting the blame for prolonging the arguement. *sigh* I simply don't know what to do.
Dinner will be pasta, probably, as we are completely out of vegtables and I don't have time to shop. Managed to make a peusdo-bread and butter pudding last night with some doughnuts I forgot about and it worked okay.
Have a good day all, celx:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Washing machine is on but no chance of hanging things out as it is pouring with rain.
Might make home made rolls later and have leftover soup for lunch and DH and DD can have Sunday lunch leftovers for tonight.
Will make something easy like spanish omelette for other DD and myself.
DH is working from home and called me through saying Martin was on radio 5 . I sat there for half an hour and no Martin-eventually DH realised rather sheepishly that he thought he had recognised Martin's voice but it was actually somebody else!!!
Still, he meant well!
If I can talk him into a lift to Sainsbury's I want to get some of the half price Daz if they have any in. It all disappeared the first day!!!!
DD(15) had a sleepover the other day and has just said plaintively that all the other three girls could talk about was the home made food and were amazed I had actually made the pizza bases.
Hugs to everybody and see you later.

Morning everyone - I hope that your morning got off to a better start than mine? Got out of the car at work and the front offside tyre was making a hissing noise. Guess who had a puncture?
Last night wasn't nearly as wild as Saturday night, so I got a good night's sleep and feel ready to face the world again. A bowl of porridge this morning was a good start to the day. Lunch will be on the hoof, as I'm out of the office and tea is likely to be pasta and salad.
Hope you all have a good day

Well I have two loads of washing on the airer in the conservatory with the door open, so its getting a bit of air, have emptied the dw, and reloaded with breakfast things, hoovered through, mopped floors, just waiting for the floor to dry and will then make some soup, think I might try roasted onion and garlic. Also got some cookies to make and the potatoes and veg to prep for tonight.
I have put the stewing steak in the sc with a bottle of guinness, a large glass of red, 3 small onions, a spoonfull of horseradish, mustard, and a large splash of worstershire sauce, smells lovely, I will thicken it later with gravy granuals and top with some hm puff pastry which I had in the freezer. I was going to do mash but dd said she is fed up with that so will cube some spuds and roast them with garlic and olive oil
Well floor is probably dry so onwards.
Hugs to Hilstep and Celyn xx0 -

Good morning. I hove only ever posted sporadically here but I hope to post more often. I am trying to get my house in order in many ways and I find this board so inspiring. I have been really focused the last 2 weeks and I am amazed at how much calmer and purposeful I feel. I am hoping to join the gorcery challenge for February.
Today I have done 2 loads of washing. (4 boys manky rubgy gear - yuk) I have cleared out all the clutter on my counter tops and rearrange the kitchen. My freezer needs defrosting so I will be using the last supplies of meat I have this week, then defrost it on Friday. The I plan to fill it up using all the wonderful tips I have found here.
I am having a coffee break just now then I am going to start decluttering the living room. Then I am am going to make spicy aubergine soup to go with dinner and for my lunch tomorrow.Hopefully, it won't take too long. On Wednesday I will be tackling my younger boys' room. It's not a task I am relishing but it will be great to have it done.
I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Morning all
I have a flexi day off today which is lovely. Had a quick trip to the denist this morning for a check up. Managed to get a load of washing done but it is snowing really heavily in Edinburgh now so it has to be dried on the airer. Off to the library soon to check out their magazines (free read and saves putting the heating on here). Later big treat - pedicure booked at Spa with left over birthday vouchers from last year (pure luxury). :j
Hugs to everyone who needs them today.
