Hi hope your daughter is okay & not doing the old swinging the lead that mine try on a regular basis  Or maybe that's just my lot!
Could I ask for your recipe for Red Soup it sounds like it'd go down well here - they love carrots, peppers, toms etc especially in soup. Thanks in advance :T?

Wish I'd got her up earlier now:rolleyes: She's quite good at convincing teachers she's poorly -might have to switch off my phone today if I suceed in getting her to school -aren't I a lovely mum:p

Thanks for that I've printed it out & will give it a go. My dd (now 16) could convince her teachers that she virtually needed an A&E dept, I'd get the phone call, rush up to get her & she'd be miraculously much better once she'd had calpol in her for 5 mins :rotfl: I once had an argument with the school secretary with me saying that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, and her saying that there obviously was. Even when I pointed out that dd's 'illnesses' always came on before science or maths  Good luck with it - be selective at who you answer your phone to LOL!!0 -

Take care x

Hilstep - lots of (((hugs))) to you. It's not a lot to ask; you deserve security - it's what we all want. I hope things work out. As for LLoydsTSB - I can't understand what they are playing at. About a year ago, my DH didn't use his Lloyds account for a while. After three months of no activity on it, they tried to bill him £25 for NOT using it! Such a cheek! I made him phone up and complain and they reversed the charge. We just pay a small amount in each week just to avoid the same thing happening again. They should have contacted your DD even if it was to threaten to charge her for not using it. At least she wouldn't have had such a shock about the £188. Was she still receiving statements? If not, then she would naturally assume that it was closed. It seems to be that they have some explaining to do. I hope you get it sorted. You can do without shocks like that, can't you?

Morning Team,
Rubbish it's Monday again. I am totally exhausted after a weekend of hockey, my muscles are screaming at me! Anyway have to battle on, got a flat inspection on wednesday by the letting company so have to get the flat in tip top condition. It is far from it at the moment.
Apart from that it's going to be a quiet one as I am flying to Bristol on Friday to visit my best friend. Really looking forward to it as I haven't seen her in ages. She is getting married in August and I am bridesmaid so think it will be a weekend of organisation.
OS today: Porridge and fruit for lunch, Spaghetti Carbonara for tea later.
(Keep porridge in my desk for when I don't have time to do sanwiches:D )
Had a small outlay on Saturday for baking equipment, bought some cake tins etc as i realised I had no baking stuff whatsoever. OH's gran sent me £20 for my birthday last week and I wrote to say thank you and that I was putting the money towards cookig equipment.
She sent me a card saying how wonderful it was that I was cooking and sent me another £20.What a women!
Love and hugs to all, keep out the cold today. Off to make a cuppa now, chat later peeps xSpreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -
Morning eveyone
It's a wet and miserable looking day today in Staffs. The sky is the colour of murky looking dishwater so not very cheery.
Had a major battle with DD about going to college today, I made her phone in herself to tell them she wouldn't be in this morning. She has an exam this afternoon which she will be there for, but it means another car journey which i'm miffed about as i just dropped DS off for school in the same place and will be back there at 3pm to pick them both up.
I feel like going to bed but i have just made a pizza, cheese and tomato for me, anchovies on the kids side. Hoping today will be another no spend day.
I'm going to go and make some Twinks biscuits in a bit, but for now i am just going to go back to the beginning of this thread and read all the posts in here and see what everyone is up to today.

Good morning everyone
Just popping by to say hi, I should be in work but so don't want to go. Will get moving once I've sent this.
Not a lot happening here today, rain has stopped and sun trying to break through, I have some hand washing to do so might do that this pm if I get back in time and the weather is favourable. DD18 has put loads of washing in the basket but as I was out most of the weekend it hasn't been done, will show her (again) how the WM works when she gets in. She is really not very self sufficient.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
