London energy

Signed up for dual fuel at tariffs fixed until 2007 (I was told). Rang back last night only to be told that London Energy tariffs are going up over 4% for electricity and 14% gas on 13 March and that I'd been signed up for dual fuel but NOT the fixed rates tariff. Made WHAAAAAAAAT noises and the woman on their helpline has changed this so I hope I am now signed up for what I agreed in January (why's it take 8 weeks to switch btw?) which is the current dual fuel tariff until 2008. Tbc as their computer has to generate a letter for me.
So if you've switched, make sure you are on the existing tariffs!
How can I/can I check this online please?0 -

The online tariffs are very much cheaper than the standard tariff. I think they have avoided the price rise so far because this tariff went up on the 31st October and the standard tariffs had increased on the 1st June. I think it's just different tariffs at different times.
In my area the difference between the Online tariff and the standard tariff will be 42% if I take the price rise into account.0
