Just spoken to BG and the elec delay is because they are waiting for the final meter reading from LE.
This is tyotally the opposite of the gas switch as here BG supplied read the meter to produce the final gas bill. I then passed this reading onto LE after they sent me a letter asking for it.
How difficult is it for goodness sake. I pay them for a service, not the other way around. All this hassle is costing my time and I wish I'd never switched to be honest. I'd rather pay more with no hassle.
I'll fire off an email to LE later.0 -

I wouldn't believe everything BG tell you. BG told me that too when I had already given my final meter reading both to LE(by phone) and BG(by email). In the end BG added another 20 units onto my reading even though LE said that they had passed on mine and it had been confirmed by Transco.
Phone them both and tell them to get their act together or you will get Energywatch to sort it out.0 -
When I do a comparison of my gas & leccy costs with the uswitch site - it tells me I could save around £300 per year if I move to London Energy, however, when I double check this with the London Energy website, the savings fall to around £75. can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this would be as I 'm entering the same information ie postcode and monthly direct debit payments.:smileyhea Poppy14110

LE Online tariff is only available through the comparison sites, their own websites do not have this tariff which is why there is a difference in savings.
You have to apply through the comparison sites.0 -

As Gambler has said, you can only get that lower price by going via the comparison sites, not direct via EDF sites.
I prefer http://www.energyhelpline.com/cashbackmse comparison site. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

After watching Martin on WatchDog tonight ... i thought I'd check out how much I could save .... based upon my direct debit payments, my total annual spend is approx £1500 ( British Gas & PowerGen ) .... I tried the "Switch With Which" website which claimed I could save approx £523 by switching to a dual fuel tariff with London Energy !! ( other switch websites claim similar figures )
I was amazed at the difference !! A saving of 35% !!!
Needless to say I have started the ball rolling with the switch ..
One question, I currently pay approx £11 a month for a BG service contract ( for central heating boiler maintenance etc ) .... it's paid for itself many times over already what with various breakdowns etc ... If I switch my gas provider to London Energy, will BG still allow me to continue this maintenance contract ?0 -
Has London Energy had a price rise this year?
As Powergen have just announced sky high price rises.0
