Moving to talktalk - is it a good idea?

I've had TalkTalk for the past 2 1/2 years.....Yes the overseas call centres are carp...I knew more than them and that is honestly scarey but if you insist on going to 2nd line support, they are fantastic and worth the bit of effort through the callcentres to get referred....just insist. Also, if you complain loud enough to CS they will reduce your bill by £5 - £10 a month for up to 6 months.
TBH, the speed isn't fantastic but I never pay more than £25 a month for my package....BB, line rental, all landline calls inc international:beer: and that will include a few calls to mobiles, 08 numbers.....but I only use internet and email, no gaming or anything like that.
When I joined there were a lot of problems due to the volume of new customers and I wouldn't have recommended them at the time but they are a very cheap basic deal.0 -
Name any company and some will love it others will hate it.
That`s the way it is.
You are right. But in the case of Talk Talk there probably are more people who hate them than love them. Not surprising the amount of times they have appeared on the BBC's Watchdog about the troubles their customers face day to day. If there was a ever a company to avoid it was Talk Talk.0 -
A lot of people hate Ryanair but 30 million plus still fly with them.
I`ve had absolutely no problems with TT and they`ve saved me half of what I used to pay BT and Fast4 for BB0 -

I was just wondering if there is anyone out there on talktalk having this same problem?
is it to late for me to cancel should I not want to continue with having talktalk? sorry im not that smart when it comes to things like this.
I want to continue with talktalk, however I do not want t have .torrent downloads throttled.tiscali does not limit the download speed, but I dont want to move if talktalk does!!

rhink you are confusing ryanair and easyjet. More hate easyjet than ryanair. But beside that point, most fly out of necessarity. Cause those airlines are the only ones that fly to that particular location. For example ryanair for us is the only main airline that fly to where my wife mum live in Italy.0 -

I started my connection with Talk Talk 2 weeks ago. On Monday I am phoning up to cancel. Dreadful Customer services. I have spoken to several preople and spent many hours on the phone to them. I am still not wireless and my DH still cannot connect his work laptop to the net. So we are off....0

I'm going to defend TalkTalk too - I signed up a family member to them last year and they've had no problems with it. Now my exchange is LLU'd with them, I'll be switching.
Everything was done as they said it would - connection happened when they said, router set up and worked first time and all the information required turned up on time.
There has been one phone outage but that lasted for no more than a day.
Never had to call customer service as never had a need to, so can't comment on that...but come on folks, how many offshore call centres do we have to endure these days anyway - they're all pretty useless for any company.0 -
I've been with TalkTalk since summer 2006. Recently they have been massively throttling my connection and I am looking for a new company.
Do NOT move to this company if you are a p2p user, you have been warned!!0
