    £99- Soap Making course :o
    £25 Virgin CC

Right, bed now. Look at this later. Face the truth about how much I've wasted. Figure out where I can re-coup some losses (Money for book for OH's Bday already saved up just need to transfer it over, money spent on craft stuff to make xmas presents should be able to get back from money saved for xmas presents. Transfer money from TCB, Ebay some stuff etc) At the moment will be £25.82 overdrawn at the end of the month.

Stuff in red is budgeted for bills and stuff like that.

... still £25 available to spend.

I've also just remembered I have about £20 of M&S vouchers as well, as well as about £6 worth of Boots points so I really should be able to squeak through this month... :o:rotfl:

...Bought diet coke today :o but don't panic as I used Boots advantage card points so still have £25! :D
    Roll on pay day..:rotfl:

Should be another NSD today so shouldn't need to update later and say have less left...

Darn- forgot I needed a notebook for course tomorrow. Tried to get one from M&S so could use gift vouchers but of course, because it is over 2 months to christmas, they don't have any stationary stuff- just christmas stuff- becuase who would want to write anything in the months leading up to christmas  So had to get one from WHSmiths which was at least reduced to £1.99. but not happy about it.. :(

    £23.01 remaining....

Enjoy your course Laura. I hope they show you how to do the "proper" soap and not just the melt and pour stuff. The cold process stuff is so nice that once you use it you never want to go back to shop stuff ever again.

oh, and well done so far with your wee quest.

Thanks- the course is actually a 'melt and pour' course. I wanted to start off easy. Includes a few trickier techniques such as layering and embedding. There are other courses for the CP and HP soaps, liquid soaps etc but this course also included bath bombs and bath butters so thought I'd get a few more things out of it.. I am looking forward to it though :)

Hope you enjoyed your course - I can guess what all your friends will be getting for Christmas this year! It's very very nice though getting a gift that someone has taken time and made. Ooohhh and bath bombs, my DD would love to make them!
If you get a chance you should try the CP stuff, or alternatively just get a book and teach yourself. My sister did it that way and then she gave me a kit for my birthday to make my own and I managed it fine too although it still takes me a wee while, as I have to read the recipe and measure everything, whereas my sister just whizzes through it as she has made so much (I think she got fed up of me asking her for more soap all the time!). OH has very sensitive skin and the CP stuff with lavendar and geranium oil is the best thing he has ever found for his skin. All this talk of soap, I am getting low so really need to get going and make another batch as it takes a few weeks to "mature".
    Enough ramblings from me now!

Edit: I can give you the name of a good company where you can get all your ingredients if you want? I could PM it to you.
