Right- time to have a think about how things have been going according to my 'plan'.
    My simple plan is:
    1. Keep a track of all my incomings and outgoings
    2. Make at least one overpayment to a debt per month
    3. Always think 'do I NEED this, or WANT this?' before I buy anything.
    4. Always look for a cheaper option.
    1. I have been a little slack in keeping track of incomings and outgoings. I guess I have become a little over-confident that things are going as tthey should and this has led to a little bit of overspending this month :o On the upside- it's not dire. I still haven't overspent to a point that I will need to use my overdraft. I do have a meal out to go to this wednesday, and a party at someones house this saturday but after that I will have to be very careful for a while.

    2. I have overpayed £100 off of my halifax card this month, and an extra £3 (whoo hoo :rotfl:) off of my HSBC card. So this side is going swimmingly.

    3. Do I need this? Do I want it? To be honest- I've been talking myself into thinking I NEED something when probably, deep down, I know it's only a WANT. Which is naughty. I'm only hurting myself...

    4. On the other hand, I have been choosing cheaper options where possible when I've been overspending so things have at least been staying within reasonable limits.

I guess it's going ok... could be worse. Just need to reign things in again.

As of today there are 23 days until payday (including today). All bills etc have been taken care of and I have £91 left in the bank + £9 in my purse (actually there was a bit extra in shrapnel but the spare silver is going in my sealed pot and coppers are going in my copper jar)(yes I have a lot of jars!) So £100 exactly. Now the meal on wednesday should be about £20. And after taxis and BYOB for the party then that should be about £20 too. So down to £60. Thats about £2.70 per day. This should be do-able. A few NSD's should help. I'm going to aim for 10 NSD's for the rest of June. And to use the online spending diary again..

yay!:T Just won £60 on online bingo- and signed up via topcashback so getting £20 back. If you take into account I had to bet £10 of own money I'm now £70 in profit (and got £10 back)! :j I guess I'll make it through the month after all! (although ideally this money is to go in the christmas savings account, I at least have a safety net now!)

Well done you with your bingo win. I played all my, OH and DS and DDs free TAB bingo money that had gone into bonus money. We did it on Sat morning - it was about £23 altogether and we won abolutely nothing. You had a nice win though. :T
I know what you mean in your other posts about getting a bit off track. I am the same just now for some reason. I need to get organised and back on track again too. I had been really good with the shopping money but completely overspent on Sunday and now I have about £5 left to do me until 16th, although I do have plenty food in, but I dont like the feeling, it's much nicer being in control so back on track for me too me thinks!

I need to have a mini LBM today. I've been really bad the last few weeks and have just been spending money like its going out of style.. I will check my bank account later and see how bad it is and get a mini plan together for the next week (pay day next tuesday). Can't do it just yet as I found a couple of virus' on my laptop last night so I'm running a couple of scans to make sure they're gone before I access my online banking.

Ok, one scan done (only 3 1/2 hours!) Just gotta run one more scan so I can be sure. This one will probably take the same amount of time if not longer! Still, better than letting some virus get hold of my bank info. I'd hate to disappoint a bunch of hackers when they realise I've got nothing to steal :rotfl:

AVG is useless- the second scan I'm running has found another two virus' that AVG didn't find (I think they are connected to the two I got rid of last night. Same names, different location in comp.)
Think I'll go watch a film while I wait for it to finish..
