Still waiting... it'll be tomorrow before I can check my bank account at this rate!
It's raining now- good job I didn't hang my washing out!0 -
Right, i think I've got 'em. Now all that's left to do is re-scan and make sure. Good job I've had all day to do this!0

OMG it's STILL scanning (hasn't found anything at least!) Guess it'll be tomorrow I'm resorting my finances, at this rate!0

Hey Laura,
You're not still scanning are you?!0 -

Really need to drag my finances back under control. I have pretty much returned to my bad old ways but hopefully that will soon be under control.
I guess I'm also feeling a little down about recent events.. see HERE post 817 onwards- I can't be bothered to write it all again.
I'll update when I've checked my online banking and updated my spreadsheet and everything. I really don't have the emotional strength to deal with it right now..
Anyhoo.. can't let the barstewards get you down!0 -
That is right up there with the time he answered the 'does this make me look fat?' question with 'well, it doesn't make you look thin' as one of the stupidist ill thought out comments he has ever made. Yes, he really said that :rotfl:
My OH is like this!!
I'm also nine years in with no thoughts/hope of engagement. I have known for a while though that he doesn't want to get married, and hate it but cope very well. The initial shock does suck though. I am the same as you - I want the marriage not the wedding. My friend gets married in September and even being a bridesmaid is stressing me out
Little wedding, meal afterwards, no biggie! Why do they get funny about it? At the end of the day, it's up to you if this is a "deal breaker" for you. It's not for me (although I'm damn sure planning on getting my way eventually!) He needs to understand what your reasons are for wanting marriage though. Does he think it's all about a frock and a party for you? Does he understand your real motivation for it? I want to get married for two reasons - 1) I love Mr Fresian to bits, and plan on being with him forever and ever and ever (Aaaawwwww!) and want to stand up in front of all the other people I love to bits and say that. 2) If I get hit by a bus I want to know that he will get my house etc and not drawn into a battle with my family.
So, for me it's one romantic reason and one which is stone-cold practicality!
Keep your chin up pet, rant if you need to.

yay, just checked online banking and while overspending has been ridiculous-it's all still manageable. Just need to get things under control. Seriously. No messing around.0
