    Week23
    Mon2/2 Rest Day
    Tues3/2 10K 54:11 (8:45/mile) (Pulse 92)
    Weds4/2 14.0 Miles 2:02:07 (8:43/mile) (Pulse 76)
    Thurs5/2 10K 54:02 (8:43/mile) (Pulse 80)
    Fri6/2 13.0 Miles 1:58:56 (9:09/mile) (Pulse 78)

Still very icy up here with pavements still out of bounds.

Apart from that though it makes for very pleasant running conditions and I really enjoyed this morning's jaunt.

Becky, stop trying to disguise your tapering techniques to blow us away with your 5K time tomorrow.;)

Good luck to everyone else planning on runs today.:D

    I wish I was tapering... :(

Good running though - sub 20 on tomorrow I feel :D
  • This week has been a washout so far for me.

More snow where I am, I also live in the countryside so the pavements are still full of iced up snow. Many roads still not clear properly either.

So today = another non run. Not happy

Morning campers...god its grim out and I'm using my trump card and not going running this morning. Ive done trecherous Ice, freezing cold, wet, snow but today its all of them combined with freezing wind and ive had enough quite frankly!

Hoping it might get better later and be able to do an 8 miler but will have to see
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

    Same here.

    I feel God has spoken:

I shall quit being a runner and return to life as a couch potato.

Me too. I'm climbing the walls. Will have to do some runs through the (busy) city next week if I don't get some serious running in this weekend...

I'm in Crystal Palace, on the edge of zone 3, looking down on the lowlands of central London. The Pavements are still covered in ice. Saw several people fall on it this morning. I still need to wear my hiking boots to get to the train station. People look at me funny once I get to central London as there's no snow/ice left here!

P.S. I do FEEL like I'm being lazy though!

  • Morning all.

Becky - sorry to hear you're not feeling well, hope you feel better very soon.

Sally - I'm with you on the freezing wind - brrrrr.

I've just got back from my walk; no snow here but it's raining quite hard and the wind was icy. It tuirned to sleet for the last couple of miles and I was freezing.

Still I got round 8.56k in 1 hour 23 mins (9.41 pace) so I'm a happy person. Just not sure how long it's going to take me to thaw out - I may have to go and get some custard to warm myself up.

Oh, I've just looked out of the window and it's snowing again - looks like I got back just in time. :D
