Well done Bagpuss and Rachel on your runs :D Rachel - I wonder if there's another route you can do that you dont have to stop on so quickly??

Glad to hear things are getting better for you BGB and thanks for the update - wonder if you've seen the general exercise and fitness thread - might be worth a look for you (but of course you're welcome here too :D)

Nice run Sammy as well - keeping things ticking over for your race nicely - its not about speed anyway at this stage :D

Tilly - sorry dont know on the cross trainer thing, but if it builds your cardio fitness it cant be a bad thing, however, most of us arent into other exercise so dont really know ;)

    Anyone seen Simply recently??

Uk have youbeen doing much this week after last weeks marathon (and more) efforts?

Okay I think normal service may very nearly be resumed (i.e. the grump is over) but am still feeling rough, but my mummy has offered me to go down there which is super nice of her since shes not been feeling great either - its good to know that at 27 I'm still her baby :D

Very nice and helpful on there - Tilly some of them are fitness instructors and they may know about cross training too :D

The race day photos are out from the Crowle 10K!! I ordered some and nearly died laughing at one of them - I look like I have escaped from somewhere...that or I am in serious pain!!!!

I am not posting a link to it though.....but my god they aren't flattering these race photos are they.....

They are always awful - dont worry about it ;), they are useful - you can track your progress through them - running style, muscle development etc - just think of them as another tool :D

Nah - got to go to two hospitals tomorrow and take my sick note into work, then on Friday I'm going to Leeds to see Rich and get pampered for the weekend, but it was sweet of her to offer :D

Hi everyone, I’m back from Prague and have had a touch of the gremlins so I haven’t been able to post for a day or two. We both had a brilliant time over there. The people were so friendly and Prague is fantastic. Definitely due another visit, when I can give the sightseeing full justice. Feeling good after the race too, with no problems even going downstairs! The race was really tough. One of the hardest I have done. It was really hot and humid (don’t trust metcheck forecasts, they are rubbish!) I had taken leggings and ¾ tights to run, but ended up buying some shorts at the expo it was so hot. There were loads of people walking the last few miles so the conditions affected lots of runners. I tried to keep going, but wilted, despite talking on fluids at every drinks station. The last few miles are a bit of a blur, and on some of my pics I look really exhausted!! The memories of the nasty bits are dulling now though, and I have an inner smugness knowing that I did it. Thanks to you all for your congratulations and I hope you are soon feeling better Becky!
