Well that means that everyone who ran yesterday from here (plus the lady that I've just been chatting with on the train) have already declared an intent to do it all again!:D

    Whatever happened to 'Never Again'?:p

Sally, I've passed your congrats onto Becky and she returns the compliment.

Uk - Patience is a virtue.:p I'll update the results with all the great performances when I'm no longer on a train.:D

    I edited my last post,

Im sitting here wondering how i can get some serious sponsorship, cant get it from airshows as we already have a charity for that.

Was thinking of writing off to adidas for some new trainers, take a picture of mine and send it to them.

Has anyone actually tried to get things for free from these big companies.

Alias you best bet for sponsorship is local companies that you could offer to put their name or business logo on your vest. How about organising a draw or raffle sell tickets and proceeds goes to your charity. You would have to again get local businesses to donate a small prize but most of them are happier to do this. Get yourself on local radio/paper

Well I'm going to put my name in the ballot again for VLM 2010. I'm sure I must be approaching the 5 rejections cut-off, I'll have to check. Does anyone know if this still applies?

Anyway, more pressing for me is my upcoming Prague Marathon in two weeks' time. My problem, and I am looking for advice on this, is that I have pulled a muscle in my back which is giving me a problem. I haven't run a step for a week (have only just felt up to it today!) so I have missed out on my last long run. Do I try to fit another long run in before I go next Friday (8th) or stick with what my original plan says (6, 10, 8 miles this week, then 12 at the weekend)?

I'm stuck between feeling light on my long runs and not wanting to overdo it and hurt my back again. Or is it all in the lap of the gods now and nothing I do this week will make much difference really?

By the way, the back problem isn't serious and I didn't do it running, just moving a heavy plantpot! :o

Chick I would be inclined to leave another really long run and stick to the plan to save your back for the marathon and healing time. Im no expert though, Rich might say different. I would think at this late stage its not going to make much difference

Your back will take more strain towards the end of long runs, so with 2 weeks to go I would forget anything over 10ish and let the back get properly sorted for race day.

Sally- Are you waiting for London for your next one......or looking for something a little sooner?

What, you mean like Abingdon :)

BTW all, seems it's filling up fast - if you're going to enter, better do it in the next couple of weeks..
(Now, just need to decide if *I* should enter :D)
