Well done to all our runners - incredible efforts, especially given the heat yesterday - very proud of all of you!0

Well done guys :T:T:T Just think how well we would have done on a slightly chilly overcast day!
As for next year.......well, I will be entering, and if I get through on the ballot I will be there for sure! I thoroughly enjoyed my day - the crowds were fantastic, especially those last 4 miles or so. Having my name printed on my vest was the best thing I could have done - there is no way you are going to stop and walk when someone has just shouted your name out and said "well done, keep going"!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Its looking like there was one fatality yesterday, a 22 year old. A second runner in critical condition has stabilised overnight
It was actually the hottest London Marathon so far which all goes to confirm just how tough it was yesterday and what a fantastic achievement it was for all those that finished.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
Blackpool Marathon 11/4/2010 (Target=2:59:59) (6:52/mile)
Abingdon Marathon 17/10/2010, (Target=2:48:57) (6:27/mile)

That is sad news about the fatality. But I am not surprised about it being the hottest London Marathon so far.
I don't know about anyone else, but I have felt more emotional today (and it is only 8.30) than I did yesterday - I think it is all catching up with me! And thats without having watched any of the television coverage yet!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Well done everyone - I did the Edinburgh one in 2004 and have done nothing since! It's a great feeling and I loved watching all the shapes and sizes on the TV yesterday (much more than running it LOL!!!!).
Enjoy a little bit of time away from pounding the pavements, let the joints and tendons recover and make sure you're spoiled for the next few weeks.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Well done guys, i tried to look out for you all but didnt spot anyone. I was keeping track of you all on the tracker website and was good to see your progress.
Anybody trying for the ballots this morning? I think the site may be down at the moment!Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -

There's no rush for the ballot in the sense that there is no advantage to getting an entry in early - it isnt a 'first come, first served' basis so waiting until closer to the end date is no problem.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Sally/Rich can you answer a question....i know you aren't physios but....
I ran 6.6 miles yesterday and afterwards my knees were as Sally put it 'inflamed and stiff'. Bit better today although they did hurt going up the nursery stairs...
Is this normal, should I go and see someone about it? I would hate to think I am doing some damage to my knees...Its the first time this has every happened to me. I have to say it was the first time I have ever done over 6 miles on road, most of my runs/races are mainly off road...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
