I'm staying at the Travelodge by Tower Bridge.....we are driving down on Saturday morning to go and register. DD wants to go shopping - she has never been to Oxford street and has been saving up her paper round money.

I am sure I will run over Tower bridge and see the rest of my clan, but DD will be in Topshop

Well thats easy enough - Tower Gateway DLR to Island Gardens (called the Greenwich branch I think) - i have to pass through and change there anyway so can meet you at the dlr station :D

Oxford Street on Saturday - BRAVE WOMAN - 2 hours queues for the tills in Primark are not unknown!!!

I am hoping she takes one look at it all and realises that she is not really missing that much..........

I need to think about times of trains etc at a later date since I'll be using the tube to get to Tower Gateway and it'll be rammed so I'll let you know what time...

Re: Oxford Street - get the tube to Marble Arch not oxford circus and walk back towards oxford circus as its far less crowded and most of the shops are at that end anyway -plus if DD is old enough you can go for a mooch around Hyde Park/Speakers Corner while she's in the shops :D

Okay had a think - we need to be at the start for 8:45am really to drink coffee and get stretched :D

The DLR journey from Tower Gateway is 30 mins max (often less but in case we need to change to the branch ;)) so thats 8 am outside Tower Gateway then to meet and jump on a train - how does that sound??

    Lincoln 10k next sunday.

Did 10.03kms yesterday morning before 10am, had not been out last week due too a cold. The previous run to that was on the sunday and was 2miles due to wind.

In all my 2nd full 10k (well i walked for 45secs of it), so a short run in the week and we should be on for sunday.

Found that in the first 2-3miles my legs were heavy and felt like giving in. Was out of breath and down on the last time.

If i dig in, i know ill make it under the 1hr mark. :)

RAF MST FT to come next week too, wonder if ill be joining fat club again..
  • morning folks :D my word you lot have been busy planning this FLM stuff, good luck to you all, i shall be cheering you along from the safety of my sofa lol.

Last week was absolutely appalling for me!!! I went back to the gym too soon after the lurgy, which meant i was useless for the rest of the week and the lurgy has clung on til friday. Then saturday I had a blinding migraine! How evil is my body????

Any way apart from a bit of a cough i seem to be ok now so gonna attempt to start my proper training plan tonight :D (thanks again becky) 4 miles seems so piddley but to me it might aswell be a marathon, and i'm guessing i'm only gonna be able to run the first few hundred yards (if that) :o

ah well, will let you know how it goes later
