just had a look at the garmin 405 it is a serious piece of kit *much drooling* but at the best part of £200 it's just expensive for a beginner like me, so have found a nice stopwatch in argos for £6 lol, i'm all registered up to mapmyrun so hopefully all the pieces will start to come together

FWIW my 205 does me just fine and I picked it up for £70 ex-display.

Can get them for £120 most of the time, anyway...

ha ha i beat you all ...305 for £39.97.. have a look in Pc world sin bin if you got one near... it wont win no fashion awards and sometimes you feel like your benn tagged buy the police .. but its a good bit of kit

Awww I am annoyed

My results have been posted and apparently my time was 54:00 dead - weird I swear they shouted 53:04 when I ran through - hmph thats the problem with no chip timing!

Anyway I came 19th out of 84 women in my age group so not too bad considering the time..., overall I came 239th out of 562 finishers - which is interesting considering over 600 people started the race!!

*Becky goes off to grumble to herslef for an hour or two*

Should not have really but at that price it would have been rude not to I think.

( just make sure you have a good look around the car satnav section thats where mine was.. stuffed at the back.. )

People on here have had success in the pastg getting Halfords to price match PCW - but they laughed at me when I tried for double this price, so may not be a goer
